So, I just tried to have a conversation about this Weinstein guy with a woman I know. At one point, she said something like: "have you seen that pig?" That's not word for word, but I don't remember exactly.

But do you mean to tell me that this thing is about looks?

So here's the question:

If Chris Hemsworth did the things Harvey Weinstein is being accused of, would all of these women be complaining?

Ask yourself that.

If someone you found attractive did the same things as Harvey Weinstein, would you complain?

Ask George Clooney. No major news co will cover it. Is there something to it or is the machine covering for itself?

I think she may have meant a pig overall. I don't think many women would like it no matter who it was. If they just whipped it out and said a bunch of gross stuff.

I agree with you homie, but get ready for the backlash of saying it out loud. No one can handle the truth anymore

So, do you need someone to explain to you what "unwanted sexual advances and sexual harassment" is?
If a woman welcomed a man and was receptive to his advances, it wouldn't be unwanted.

Get it?

But do you mean to tell me that this thing is about looks?

She called him a pig, and your mind defaulted to appearance? There are worse ways to be a pig other than looking like one.

Here's what I need explained:

Without the ability to read minds, how would someone ever know if it was 'wanted' or 'unwanted'?

At work, there's a woman that calls me 'Hun' or 'Honey'. And another woman that calls me 'Sweety'?

I don't find it offensive, but how would they ever know that?

It's taken some of these women 20 years to come forward about Weinstein. I think they are 20 years too late.

But this is also a separate topic from what I asked.

yes, i would complain if someone creepily came onto me and implied my career was on the line. even if they were attractive.

i know we're not supposed to personally insult each other, but i have to ask -- OP, do you really have that low an opinion of women or are you just stupid?

Why don't you ask the ladies of ATS on how they feel?

Attractive or not, acting like a creep is not acceptable.

There's even a thread talking about the experiences of female ATS members being sexually harassed. One member Zosimov, actually have to defend herself from a creep.

Neither.

One of the things Weinstein is accused of is interviewing a woman in his underwear.

Do you mean to tell me that if a Victoria Secret Model interviewed me in her underwear that I should complain? Nobody would tell me to complain. I have female friends that would be asking me how she looked and what happened, as well as my guy friends.

But if it was an overweight woman in nasty underwear, nobody would hesitate to tell me to complain.

And that's the problem I'm seeing.

I'm thinking you are young and inexperienced? A woman/girl will let you know. She will tell you "no". She will say to you "stop"; "don't call me that", don't touch me" or any number of things to convey to you that your advances are unwelcomed. You must respect that.

Reporting incidences such as these are highly unpleasant for a woman.

A woman at work who calls you a 'pet name' will not know it offends you, unless you tell her, or make a disapproving face or express your dissatisfaction in another way. Women typically pick up on subtleties, and she will most likely stop it. I don't think calling someone 'sweetie' is harassment though. But if you don't like it, let her know.

These women speaking out against Weinstein are not too late. From a legal standpoint perhaps, because statue of limitations has run out on most of the cases, so there will be no litigation. However, you see that by having them all speak out, the cat is out of the bag, so to speak. He's out of business, and out of the business of molesting women.

And so is Bill Cosby, for the same reasons, and we now must wait and see about Bill O'Reilly. He's got his job back at FOX, which tends to highlight the concern is more with ratings than morality. He has been able to literally buy himself out of it.

Were there dick pics? If so, no chick likes that unsolicited, no matter how attractive the guy. At least that's what I'm told.

Okay, I think I see what the problem is. You are equating men and women's sexuality. Wrong. We aren't wired like men. I really think you need to have a conversation with a man or women that you trust, who have experience and information about these matters. Have a nice heart to heart conversation about the differing chemical makeup, sex drive, biological concerns and emotional aspects of human intimacy. Or buy a book.

It will do you good.

Or you can PM me if you have sincere questions.

I just realized a very simply way to make this clear.

STOP comparing these women to YOURSELF and what you like and don't like.

To do so is WRONG HEADED.

There. Goodnight and sleep tight.

Human interactions are more than skin deep.

C'mon, you know better..

That said, the idea of a female Weinstein jabba the hut in bad underwear interviewing young men while using her power to extract sexual favors is rather amuzing, and very gross.

But if I were to encounter a hot evil slut, God help me I sure hope that I would laugh in her face and walk away.

I find them all so inauthentic and unattractive and slutty these days, the painted ladies of celebrity culture.

What happened to the nice girl next door friendly look.

It's like the worst days of Babylon all over again.

It's all so very sad, and at some level very hilarious and a relief to see it fast crumbling before our eyes.

Your take on it, that everything is all about appearance and looks and that in the face of that all morals go out the window has already lost the truth at the heart of the matter when it comes to human interaction and social and sexual relations.

You sound young and naïve.

So what you are really ask is can a good looking guy rape a women?

Normally I would say there is not such thing as a stupid question but I think you have just proven to be the exception to that rule.

ohhh god really!

Not every experienced with the opposite sex are you.

Its quite simple they tell you, usually they drop a massive hint.

Example:

you see a girl in a bar, she is fit, you approach her with the cheesy catch up line "hey you a parking ticket....." she says "ahhh emmm am waiting on my boyfriend". Take the hint and back off.

If you keep trying to approach her then its harassment.
