The wait is finally over!
Tonight marks not only the premier of TWD season 8 but also the 100th episode.
This seasons theme is "All Out War"
Our merry band of survivors are fed up with Negan and the Saviours tyrannical ways. They have banded together with the surrounding communities to create a militia that will hopefully put a stop to the oppression.
We can expect to see a lot of action this season coupled with individual trials that will test each one of our good guys. They can either use that as motivation to pull our Ad hoc militia together and finally put a stop to the Saviours, or allow it to finally break them for good, leaving them on their knees at the mercy of Lucille.

On a side note the creators of The walking dead and Fear the Walking dead have announced a crossover in the series. Meaning either someone from TWD will be seen on FTWD or vice versa.
I have my theory on this and anyone who follows both shows may have picked up on this.
At the end of season 3 of Fear, it was announced that a trade route was to be established between San Diego and Houston Texas.
Well What beloved ginger made it known in TWD that he was from Houston?
That's right folks, big red himself - Abraham!
Abe spent the early times after the outbreak in Houston before he devoted himself to Eugenes cause.
The timelines make the most sense.
As well, there was a lot of outrage when Abe was killed off.
What better way to boost the ratings of Fear, than to introduce a character that fans have already invested a lot of emotion into.
So the smart money lies on Abe.
But we also have another possibility- Rosita.
Although she's far from a fan favourite, very little is known about her background in the early stages of the outbreak, asides from that "she bounced around from group to group"
On top of that Rosita is Mexican. And in Fear the majority of the supporting characters are of the same decent.
To have Rosita show up would still make sense from a timeline point of view...but not so much from a ratings standpoint.

For those of you whom have not tuned into AMC the past week and watched the entire series up until tonight's episode, I provide a link that break down of the events in season 7 that lead up to this point.

Enjoy!

"AMC", you mean 'the walking dead' channel? Who cares about how many ways there are to off 'Zombies' ? After Vegas I think people are tired of that.

Their "Behind The Walking Dead" special (I think from last night) I snatched was really good. Funny too.

Love the remixes. Breaking Bad had a funny sitcom spoof done for it. And then there's the Hannibal food porn. Also youtube: "Trailer Mix".

I don't understand the appeal of this show, let alone zombies.

This is coming from a guy who trudged through at least five seasons.

I think the last bit I saw had took place after dear 'ole Glenn's passing. (Brutal scene to be sure)

They lived in some town.. Neegan killed the nurse lady with the glasses..

Anyway.. I've generally felt it's the same # every season.

A bunch of idiots follow crazy Rick Grimes to the grave.

RIP Glenn's woman's dad, whatever your name was.

No doubt it has become repetitive.
All out war is similar to the events that took place with the governor.
Even so...I still love the show.
The first and only show I have actually cared about it's characters and look forward to seeing what happens next.

Love Walking Dead but it is filmed where I live. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is so sexy but I hate his character-Norman Reedus needs to go. Seen him in person-short, dirty, and ugly. And really full of himself. That is all.

Pleas tell me why they had to shoot out all the windows?

I'm gonna assume it's for the same reason in the comic - attract walkers and piss off the Saviours.
Although the gun shots do just as good of a job lol

Good episode.

That foreshadowing makes me think TWD isn't going to have a happy ending.

Because windows are more dangerous than a sociopath that likes to bludgen people to death.

And good hell people.

Rick going on and on about all it takes is just to kill one guy, and that one guy stood there like a sitting duck.

Where Rick had MULTIPLE chances to simply take him out.

Talk,Talk.Talk,Talk.

Blah.

My only gripe.

Exact same thing I was thinking.
Dude is standing there like a tool lippin off.
Rick could have distracted him while a sniper put one in his head.
I really like Steven Ogg's character - Simon.
Every time I see him, I think of Trevor from GTA5 and how much of a psychopath he was.

So people?

Which version of future Rick will the series end on ?

The one that looked like a delusion of the proverbial happily ever after or the Rick that clearly looked like he was dying right before turning zombified?

Tune in next week to find out.

So let me see if I got this right. Team rick offs all the lookouts, one by one, and no one on team negan finds out. Team rick pulls into team negan's "stronghold" with a giant convoy and parks out front to wait for negan. Negan walks out in plain site of said convoy, of course knowing they won't shoot him because.... yeah - this all happens despite the fact that negan knows a huge battle is coming. Negan the mastermind thinks he has the upper hand because hilltop dude threatens rick's hilltoppers with exile (shudder!) and that's somehow supposed to suddenly turn the tables (because, you know, rick "has no idea what's coming"). Rick gives a countdown so that, I don't know, negan can sneak away again - but he's tricky and stops counting at 7 - sneaky bastard. He starts shooting and somehow still manages to miss negan. At this point negan's master plan is to run and hide, again despite knowing this huge battle was coming and strutting out as if he's 3 steps ahead. Team rick decides that all the windows must die and shoots them. And, of course, negan gets a way to lean and scowl another day. Jesus, I was waiting for the tiger to jump in from out of nowhere again.

I gotta say - after last season's finale, I had hopes that the show wouldn't stay that low - but it did. These implausible scenarios and sequences are just plain laughable. I'll give it another couple weeks, but damn - gimple is on thin ice.

Oh, and btw - did anyone notice not one but two(!) contrails in the opening speech scene? Both were blurred but obvious - one behind Rick and one behind Maggy. I seriously can't believe those got through... well, maybe I can.

I always wondered what happened to that dude.

Big gaping plot hole finally filled after 7 years.
