No I think you are misunderstanding what i am asking. I just want to know who or what is needed before someone can do what they feel is necessary to see justice is served, I am not butt hurt. I am not tied to a party, I just want to have faith in the fact that things are being done ethically and honestly. a reply to: Allaroundyou

I'm pretty sure if you look up government in the dictionary there is nothing there that says anything about honesty and ethics.

the controlling all encompassing system has blocked any lawful way for the voting public to change the status quo....
you may vote for Arthur or Mather....there you have had your say....isn't democracy wonderful??....

politicians are just middle management....and poor examples at that....they jump to who-ever greases their palms with silver.....and it ain't the general public....banking and corporations is where the money comes from...

get use to it folks, you ain't going to change nothing....you don't have the means or the ability or the stamina...
the system has had control for the last 100 years and will do so possibly for the next 100 years...
no amount of debating on ATS will circumvent this....

to me...our only hope is an unforseen natural disaster....I personally would prefer solar flares...another Carrington event... that fries the electronic man made control shackles....a non violent natural issue that we would have to deal with.
the ruling class would struggle the most....the more independent citizen would cope ....the deadwood would just die..

as an outsider I see no difference between America and Russia and China....their all control freaks that treat their citizens like sh*t. they are the wings of the same parasitic bird, just with different languages.
communism, capitalism, fascism and democracy all have one thing in common....human greed and corruption and these speak all languages....now add corporations and politicians, party members and banking .....now we have a complete dogs breakfast....

I feel for the immediate generations to come, they have to solve a lot of problems.....I know that my generation wont...they are in the decision making positions now....and are just kicking the can down the road for future generations to solve.....my generation is only concerned about their house prices and superannuation pay-outs.

as I've been told all my life....life wasn't meant to be easy ......life ain't fair..
enjoy what you and yours have and grit your teeth as you wade through the sh#ty river of life....that some-one else designed for you....
stay cheerful.

it only takes %10 of the people to successfully overthrow a government so I reckon that when %10 of americans go hungry the revolution will start,i guess that's why the government makes sure that even the poor get feed, the government can`t afford to let %10 or %20 of the people to get hungry enough to start trouble that would overthrow the government.

it`s better to let the middle class get pissed off at paying high taxes than it is to let the bottom %10 to go full retard and overthrow the government.
politicians have all the data they know how far the can push the people, to paraphrase abe Lincoln, " you can screw over most of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can`t screw over all the people all the time"

politicians aren`t dumb they have access to the most advanced computers and data they will screw over the maximum amount of people for the maximum amount of time without causing a revolution.

Well lets face it the middle class is in general mortgaged to the hilt with kids in tow, they have no choice but to suck it up, they cant risk their futures .

They have us screwed any way you look at it.

exactly! and that`s what the government counts on, the government counts on the middle class to suck it up and squeeze the belt tighter and give up more rather than just go full retard and claim bankruptcy and go on government assistance and give it all up. The government is playing a dangerous game.
there is a very thin line between being consider middle class and taxed to death by the government and living a middle class lifestyle by collecting government handouts. The government needs to be very careful

I see what you are saying, sadly it does not seem much better in the real world either. I simply want an honest government that lives by the same laws as you and I. I have nothing against Trump, I just wish he would do the ethical thing and replace Sessions, and get the corruption out of government, What ever it takes. I held a lot of hope that he would be capable of doing what he needs to, in order to accomplish this. I think this alone would make him one of the greatest presidents we have had in a long time. If he is not able to, then how can we go after these problems as a people.

Relax. The Second Amendment is irrelevant. So long as the government has satellite directed drones you can have all the guns you want. The United States government is invulnerable. The only option is to work from within. Many people voted for Trump because they were deceived into thinking that a corrupt billionaire would want to fix the system he profited from. Fortunately, the vast majority of civil servants really do serve the people, and the Constitution provides ways for the system to rid itself of corruption. Consider yourself fortunate to live in interesting times.

There is no way to get to the top level as a politician in one of the big two without being compromised to some degree.

Anyone that thinks democrats will suddenly ride to the rescue is a fool, Republicans having the majority control in DC is fairly new and unfortunately they have shown themselves to be just as incompetent and corrupt as the democrats.

No single person is going to save the republic, the era of the Teddy Roosevelt type of politicians is over.

The only way to save the republic is for we the people to throw the republicans and the democrats to the side and push new and better options forward.

what did the big O do to you?

He existed. That's all it takes for crazy people to hate him, even though Obama was far less corrupt than Trump is.

You would think that all these right-wing people who supposedly love the constitution and the country would be upset about having a criminal in the white house who wants to be a dictator, has his unelected family members run things, and is using the office of the President to enrich himself, but no they don't care about any of that.

Want to know my beef with Obama, he was a horrible leader that routinely handed important legislation over to two of the most corrupt people in DC, nancy pelosi, and harry reid.

Newsflash- only congress can write laws. He had to have them write the bills. That is a ridiculous thing to be upset over.

Now what about the Republcians that let lobbyists write all their bills unconstitutionally, do you care about that?
My guess is that you aren't even aware of that, but you think democrats are bad because you've been told to believe that.

Really wow thanks mr wizard...

But what a president can do is take the lead be out in front of the legislation have a clue about what is going on and put pressure on the congress critters to not compromise to the detriment of the people.

But instead he put party first and we got screwed, Trump is no better, and Bush Jr was no better but do not sit there and hand me a turd sandwich and try to convince me it is steak.

a reply to: filthyphilanthropist Why on earth are you trying to bring a bible into this. Take that crap alsewhere please.

Uh, maybe because the Bible speaks about this very topic that we're discussing. The Declaration of Independence mentions God five times because the authors understood that true liberty and justice only comes from him. They knew how easy it was for men to become corrupt when left to their own devices and their own sense of power without guidance.

Tri-lobe-1 is the closest one here to getting it right. Only an act of God (or in his words, a natural disaster) can turn this ship around when corruption has gotten out of control, which has all been told in the Bible. As much as you hate it, it's all been predicted and one day you'll be turning to that Bible for answers on why/how it all came to this point and eventually ended.

The swamp creatures are getting unimaginably filthy rich. Nothing is going to change.

Our military is stretched thin, our citizens live a paycheck from being homeless. As long as they can work us to death, nothing will change.

I think there is an ideal way to handle these things, and I'm not at all convinced that "tear it all down" is a viable course of action.

We tend to blame individuals, or even groups, for all the issues we have. However, these issues of corruption have plagued us for millennia. The problem runs deeper..

It seems that plenty do not concern themselves with the aftermath either. They might think they don't like it now, but they really wouldn't like the result of a reset without a viable alternative.

Rooting out corruption may be a temporary salve, of sorts, but we will get right back to it in no time.

Congress is certainly a problem as well. However Trump is also a problem and I always find it funny when Trump supporters see things as the whole world against Trump and as if he's the only good man in there standing all alone. He's not a good man. He's a shark swimming with sharks.
