Tom Cruise will not fly in Iron Man

According to an interview with Sci Fi Wire, Tom Cruise will have nothing to do with the upcoming Iron Man movie.

"It's not happening. Not with me," Cruise told reporters during a break in filming on the set of his current movie, War of the Worlds, in Piru, Calif. "They ... came to me at a certain point, and you know, when I do something, I want to do it right. And, you know, if I commit to something, it has to be done in a way that I know it's going to be something special. And that ... as it was lining up, it just didn't feel to me like it was going to work."

I for one am not sad by the fact that Cruise wont be in the movie. However Tom Cruise is arguably the number one actor in Hollywood today. If he says he feels like the movie isn't going to work, then that is a very bad sign.
Looks like this movie is going to bomb. They should just scrap it now before they waste their money. I guess it isn't time for a Iron Man movie yet.
