That's the neat thing about individuality right there

Haha, you got that right, and great there are enough artists to go around!

Checking out Oldominion now. Thanks.

(Also ATLiens for me was definitely the music
I was in my friend's car... he was cool and all and it was good times but I didn't want to get out of the car to go to the party it was that kind of love affair. I bought the tape the next day.)

Now you're showing your age.

My favorite offering from anyone in Oldominion was Greyskul's "Dead Livers." But, you know, personal preference and all.

"Blazing Arrow" was the background music to about half a year of good times for me. Its always interesting to me how music is so individual, yet can be so strongly impacted by environment and social dynamics.

Its weird stuff, really..

Sometimes I really think whippersnappers these days are missing out when it comes to tapes. The click-clack when you pressed record, after running to the tape deck to capture that song you've been waiting to broadcast..

Then I click play on my FLACs

They're really good. I liked Don't Kill Your Radio a lot. Dawgs of War is on now and it's really great.

But yes, you're right art (the creation and appreciation of) is so individual, yet influenced by the society one keeps, etc.

Great when the right creative minds get together though, as this thread demonstrates.

Not to jump off topic too much, but MF Doom recently dropped a few new tracks. This is my favorite with the legendary Kool Keith.

MF has one of the craziest line's I've heard in a long time which is why he is one of my favorites

"Wrote the key to life down on some napkin. Can't find it.
Whoever do is like minded."

Good rap music is not off topic, I'm sure we could spin it if we wanted to include Doom as a Wu affiliate. Thanks for posting!

You may not know this but, as a professional luddite, I'm always at least 10 years behind the newest tech. (dot, dash, dot, dot.... stop.)

I would greatly appreciate that. My 3D printed headphones will thank you.

The cylinders are useful for when I run out of lacquer. Gotta lay down those wax trax to twist and shout with the cool people like Angelo. We are quite independent.

Just to be clear, I'm good on candles.

Okay, first off, I think 3d printed headphones-- or 3d printed anything for that matter-- are really cool.. I never expected to see anything like that, never expected to see singularity and whatever might come of that.
Most likely many of our innovations have improved upon the quality of life.
But, can you believe, all this technology, and people are still bickering over skin deep (literally) shallow and fantastical concepts, still snuffing out others lives to promote an idea, in fact with even more zeal as their audiences have increased.

So, while enjoying many aspects of modern life, I don't necessarily believe life now is somehow an improvement (or deterioration) from the past.
(point being addressing the modern idea that new=improved and old=ridiculous/outdated/irrelevant)

Either way, I'm happy to be alive right at this moment-- these are fascinating and rather unpredictable (imo) times

PS LOL on the candle joke. Too funny!
