Considering that some of this was training for one of my jobs, I'm not worried about being put on a list.

Yeah I kinda guessed that was the case.. interesting thread though. As I'm in the uk in don't really know the full extent of this.. but seems bizarre it hasn't been covered.
I smell a conspiracy..

Also, the fact that the current security system actually worked doesn't help pass the Liberty Act or require more money to be spent on "security" measures.

. I was just in Asheville not that long ago. Beautiful town, certainly NOT deserving of terrorism.

As someone who knows the airport, in your opinion, who could he be going to war with? I'm guessing that whoever it was, he clearly thought this was the time and place to strike them.

ATS is generally pro-government.

During Obama's second term, the site was heavily left-leaning. Now it's heavily right.

People love their government*

*as long as said government is their flavor of either (R) or (D)

Been there for a long time.

Sigh... what it must be to have an exciting life.. The highlight of my day was a trying to clean a poo stain from a toilet when I was taking a piss..

My life is pretty boring, especially since I got rid of my wife.

It doesn't quote him saying why. I want to know, from the man himself, why, his stated reasons, and about what he wishes to wage war.

Good luck. Maybe he wrote a manifesto like UNAbomber Ted Kazinzki, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Why did he plant a bomb? He wanted to kill people, guaranteed.

I highly doubt anyone dropped a JDAM on this loon's house.

You define idiots as anyone attacking America, when America (if you consider allies and proxies) is doing 99 percent of the attacking in the world.

So who are the idiots again?

Pawns killing pawns and vice versa. I'd say we all are in one way or another.

I'm not "In". I'm into stopping it. Especially since we started it.

In a way I'm grateful the media chose not to report this. It further validates the fact that they are grossly biased and completely unreliable.

The media is down in the dirt with lawyers, most congressmen and senators, and car salesmen.

And whatever job your mom did/does for a living too!

Well, if we talk about "reporting this sh*t".. But who cares, I did not do a "new thread" about it, so it got lost in the usual Trump-Antitrump-avalanches here on this board..

Link, nonetheless. 6hrs earlier, but I am not salty. Okay, maybe a bit ;-)

Sounds like one of those 'oh look we stopped an attack that we set up to begin with' stunts.

Yeah, probably a honey trap. Find idiot wannabe terrorist online. Hand over non explosive explosive.

Surprised they never made a bigger deal out of it, or whould that have been too obvious.?

So this would have made 2 deadly terror attacks by 2 white guys with no known motive for the attacks?

Hmmm is that the whiff of the TPTB I smell that want more of your rights?. (or Misterlondon`s toilet)

If so keep an eye out, there would be more to come.

Very good. I was actually agreeing with what you had said. As in we are all idiots in one way or another.

USA Today described exactly how it was built, and with what, and how ammonium nitrate needs to be congealed into globules in order to absorb the fuel oil.

Isn't that called "Making the news"? As in making sure there will be another story to report on in the future?

I wouldn't put it past the MSM lol.

I think VICE did something similar years ago by making a video showing a bunch of hipsters trying out recipes from the anarchists cook book. Because you know, saying 'don't try this at home' makes people not try it at home.....

Just look at JackAss, aint no kids ever copied that stuff to this very day.

I'd say the solutions are simple for stopping terrorism both foreign and domestic...... but they're so obvious nobody wants to hear them.

Now excuse me I have to go watch this fun and friendly video. for educational purposes only..... I swear...

I thought that setup would require a blasting cap or better...

You're right, it wouldn't ignite, it would just fizzle basicly. ANFO needs to be basicly put in a pressure cooker to ignite.

Does this mean that airport is watching the comings and going of every single traveller that goes through the airport? And one guy with a bag and then later without a bag Is noticed? Don't they have lockers in airports to stow bags and stuff?

What I find most crazy is the (alleged) terrorist/indigent is a US citizen.
I can understand that some ISIS freaks want to spread chaos in USA (or Europe). I an understand that someone from another country (let's say Soviet Union as an example) would want all Americans dead, based on ideology.

I could understand if a country citizen would attack his/her own country's government/elite, again, out of ideology (e.g. RAF in Germany, Action Directe in France, Brigate Rosso in Italy).

But a US citizen, born & raised in the US, trying to kill as many of his fellow citizens, blindly (i.e. no specific target).
I find that most crazy, moronic and utterly idiotic & stupid.
This comment applies to almost all terrorism/attacks we have witnessed lately in Europe & USA (the Kouachi brothers in France for example).
If those morons hate their country and fellow citizens that much, and think another place (e.g. ISIS) has a better view about life, well they should just get the # away to this place.

Note: by "understanding", I mean these people have a sort of reason to conduct their act. I DO NOT justify/support these violent acts in any way.

Yes. Even sub-$300 consumer-grade home security systems are capable of 'abandoned object' or 'missing object' tracking. Automated tracking of multiple moving individuals and their luggage is everywhere. Especially in the few places people can still hide from the view of cameras, i.e. restrooms.
