Girl Scouts are much more different then Boy Scouts. My little sis was in GS...The couple of months she was with them all it was is them trying to sell things out of a catalog like candies and such. Didn't see much outdoors survival thing going. So I'm all for girls being in the Boy Scouts. They will actually learn something constructive then trying to sell things all the time.
This. They will be separated by sex as well. There will be girl troops and boy troops. I'd rather GSA adopt BSA programs though simply because I'm sick of controversy.

Just because someone is a perv doesn't mean they're equal opportunity molesters.
It's bad enough they have to try to screen out sickos that'd do sick things to boys, but now having to screen for sickos against boys or girls or BOTH is playing with fire. There's a lot of sick sick people out there.

I just wanted to see what you'd say. So you frame the secular goals of BSA as gender-neutral, then write the whole organization off as "religious".
Are their goals religious or secular? Make up your mind.
There were nearly 2,000 reported cases of abuse within the Boy Scouts of America prior to 1994, and at least one abuse incident as recent as 2006
In 2010, a jury ordered that the Scouts pay $18.5 million to a Scout who was abused in the 1980s—it was the largest punitive damages award to a single plaintiff in a child abuse case in the US
