MODS Sorry and Thank you

Applause happens. When it does you get a U2U message that in part, says: Do not reply to this U2U.

That little statement always kept me from saying thank you back to the MOD. Well, I came across a thread discussing MODS, what they can and cannot do around here, and I saw this little nugget.

if you get an applause from a mod, it's perfectly fine to write to them and say thanks. The automated notes were talking about writing back to the "Forum Staff" account. No one will see that. But find the staffer's name and write them a note back. You'd be surprised how that can put a smile on someone's face.

Now I feel like a douche for never sending a quick message just to say thanks. I know you were members here first and it is a lot of work to keep up with all of our shenanigans all over ATS. You all do it for nothing in return.

So consider this thread my apology for leaving you hanging and my thank you for the applause received! You all are appreciated and do a great job keeping ATS from turning into just another crap website. I'm looking at you reddit / GLP.

Yep. Some of them will even write you back! It's almost as if TPTB want us to believe the mods are real people or something...

Pshh, I know they will write you back. I've interacted with several of them for others reasons. I just didn't know that was one you could write about. I hadn't thought about it.

WOOPS. Me too I did not respond because it said not too. At least I thought it did. Well Thank You MODS. One for the applause and two for not banning me for drunk posts. I don't do it often, but I have. Facebook and ATS should have a drunk button. You hit it and it blocks you from posting your stupidity for a few hours.
