October seems to have an especially large number of close approach objects listed. like this one on the 12th October.

It looks greenish colored in some shots,suggesting maybe copper content-if there is copper there are maybe other metals.

Imagine for a moment that you are living in a remote Chinese village,sleeping after a hard day in the fields,and get woken by a bright flash in the sky.
You sit up and look out at the fields and see a faint puff of dust rising a few miles away,down the valley,followed by a loud WHUUMP noise and sensation of pressure and wind..

You go to investigate,carefully-scared but too curious to turn back..
The first light of day arrives as you approach the still smoking crater.
The silence of insect and bird noise makes a deeply ancestoral part of you feel very alert and attuned to...to.. something.
To something,but what?

In the middle of the crater,which seems to be the size of your village and 60 metres deep you see a smoking,fizzing lump of molten metals.
Some of it is shining,some of it is glowing,some of it seems to be pulsating.
Strange hazy see though green smoke is pulsing up and down the crater.

By now you are sensing danger,but you want to see,no: to FEEL and to get that metal.
You notice your heart rate and breathing is synched with the pulses of this thing in the crater.
It draws YOU in.
You are aware of a sound.
It is like the sound of the sea as the tide pulls back.

You are now touching the pulsing,molten,beautiful meteor core.
But something feels wrong.
You feel watched,and as the hairs on the back of your neck rise up,the molten core of the meteor opens up and a black glistening tentacle rolls forth and slowly wraps its way around your torso and begins to squeeze.

Then you feel a ticklish sensation and hear a weird alien voice saying:
Verry sorry my friend,crashed on the wrong planet we have.
We can speak eenglish.

Do you have any plastic by any chance?
Its just that we need a few million units of plastic for our engines.

Could you allow us to take all that lovely plastic from your oceans?
Please?


But being the Chinese villager,the message was not understood-and the aliens took all our precious plastic and decided to vaporize us and take our planet anyways.
