We are...

It is called imagination. Lol.

Imho...

With nearly every single person in human history trying to find some proof of an afterlife or the supernatural. What do they have to show for it???

Testimonials that conveniently cannot be tested..

That's billions of hours of research, time and energy , all without one single spell, prayer or summing that can be replicated in XY or Z circumstances.

Shouldn t they have something??

One specific set of circumstances, where you always get a ghost???

One prayer that legit heals the sick basiclly every time??

I mean we can literally look down into the atomic level, but our minds can sense something no test we can make can??

It would seem, according to others, that I have a Doppelganger from time to time.
I have been seen in more than one place at the same approximate time.
I know I was at one place, and someone would tell me they saw me somewhere else.
I hope the other me isn't a jerk.

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all.

Quantum mechanics (and Firesign Theater).

The error underlying this question is to assume that everything the human brain can sense is (by definition) detectable by something that is not a human brain. Once you recognise that science deals in abstraction rather than qualia this is less of a problem.

It's quite true, for example, to say that the sky usually appears blue because of the spectrum of sunlight and the scattering effect of the atmosphere. But it's even truer to say that the sky is blue.

There is also the sad fact that the word "subjective" has been so abused by adherents of scientism that it is now regarded as not much more than a synonym for "false", and its antonym ("objective") is treated as though it means "truth."

The book can also be read and downloaded legally for free at archive.org

Telepathic Hallucinations (archive.org)

That is true for many older books with expired copyrights by the way.

It’s an ancient theory/mythology where you create a Being in your mind to play with, they manifest, and eventually they go rogue and become burdensome (haunt people etc)...

A form of worship/ritual is what this is ....another way into the occult.

Read the three books of Enoch and you will be enlightened into the spiritual world.

Yep.

Tulpas, egregores, elementals and familiar spirits. You took the words right out of my mouth.

Also, hallucination via sensory deprivation ... our brains fill in the gaps.

Also, our brains can be affected by local E-M fields.

Certainly agree with caution regarding freeform experimentation with consensus reality ... our minds are fully capable of creating their own.

Creating something in your mind (fantasy) does not bring spirit into the physical world that were NOT already here.

If I think of smoke, my mind can create a sense memory

You can't turn one hair on your head white or black.

Have you had an encounter to base any observations on?

I didn't know that facility existed! Thanks very much, I can see that's probably going to be very handy in future.

Have you heard of the Philip Experiment? Parapsycholgists in the 1970s wanted to see if they could basically create a fictional ghost that they could then interact with as if he were real.

Here is a wikipedia link but you can google "Philip experiment" to find more, including videos.

Conjuring Philip! I watched a half hour show about the experiment a few years ago. They put a lot of thought into creating Philip...

BWAHAHAHA sciencism..

lol just lol..

What you are referring to is magic...

We can see billions of light years into the universe and look down to the atomic level, but ONLY our brains can see the supernatural...

How convenient...

The exact same argument made by every snakeoil salesmam and charlatan in history...

PS..
the sky appears blue due to the reflection of the worlds oceans.. it is not actually blue.

Saying the sky is blue is less true than saying it is the reflection of the oceans..

Just because we precieve something to be true, doesn't mean it is...

Generalisations like that one can be misleading. E.g., you might develop a subjective suspicion that someone is an imbecile and soon be proved objectively correct.

Only read the OP so far and I'm with you!

If you know anything about psychosis, your mind can make anything seem just as "real" as if it's actually real. Why not be able to create the perception of something like a ghost?

I'm not sure if you're talking about "actually creating" it externally, or within ones mind space, though I don't know that there's actually any difference.
