The Mandela Effect and Hugh Hefner

This is my first time ACTUALLY posting... So bare with me if it comes off a little gibberish... But hello everyone! I've always been the guy who lurks around reading threads handing out S&F but never says anything lol... ###snipped####
I decided to put something "worthy" of being posted to ATS giving the fact that these types of topics are what brought me to this site in the first place..... But anyway!.... Check this out! I may be wrong, please feel free to correct me if I am..... But, I could have sworn Hugh Hefner already died earlier this year.... Earlier yesterday, I was on Facebook and I saw this guy post "R.I.P. Hugh Hefner ( April 9, 1926 - September 26, 2017 ) Rest easy, guess you had one too many breezy's" or something like that lol. I shrugged it off as a joke, but as I kept scrolling I saw more and more R.I.P. posts. There's no way! I'm positive this man is already dead!... I sort of thought I was tripping so, I Googled it and sure enough the first article read "Hugh Hefner Dies at age 91" looking puzzled thinking I've been put in a time capsule and sent back in time a few months. I turned around and Googled "The Mandela effect and Hugh Hefner" and apparently I'm not the only person that remembers him dying once before!.... You can Google it for yourself and see what you get......When my wife came home from work I asked her did she remember this, and she confirmed my thoughts also.. I'm 100% sure this man already died once earlier this year! and I am also 120% sure that you cant die twice! (that I'm aware of).. So I just had to come to my ATS family and ask for everyone's input on this... Am I the only person here that recalls this happening before? These time shifts are happening more and more frequently. I wonder what's next.....

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

P.S. And for the record mandella died in prison when I was a kid

There was a hoax in December 2016 regarding his “death”. He even tweeted to say he wasn’t dead lol.

This is not Mandela related, but a couple of days ago one of my tangential thoughts before I drifted off to sleep after nightshift. Was a contemplation of what age Heff would be and when his time to leave our mortal coil would come. In his case mortal paradise. Then a few days later he was off to decompose next to Marlyin .

Do you recall Hugh's earlier obituary, the comments, news articles, reading about the funeral, stories on his life post fact...all of the other stuff that naturally goes with a celebrity passing....or just the mention of this happening ? I don't get this Mandella effect thing....

Human memory is notoriously flawed. People like to assume their memories are always accurate, but that's understandable denial.

To test it, get with a group of old friends from years ago and compare memories. You will quickly find they do not match and that everyone thinks their memory is right and everyone but them is wrong. Human nature and I think that explains the Mandela Effect completely. People would rather continue to believe their own memories can not be wrong, than admit their own memories are as flawed as they truly are.

The real kicker was I made that and posted it on facebook before I even knew about the Rob Schneider death hoax a day later.. I ended up half bald, scratching my head over that lol

I never said anyone was wrong or right... I clearly posted "what are everyone's thoughts on this?".. if i thought i was right. I wouldn't have even asked for an opinion...
