Democracy isn't the same as a Republic.

Elected Representatives of, by and for the people are supposed to be elected by democratic means, i.e., one person, one vote.

Like everything else though the system is corrupted, only using those words as a facade.

North Korean citizens usually cannot freely travel around the country, let alone travel abroad. Emigration and immigration are strictly controlled

It´s like telling somebody who is sitting in jail for life, that he isn´t allowed to visit your house anymore...
