Good movie. I give it a B+
As far as being factual......F
I was stationed in the exact same place where the movie portrayed him downloading the files he leaked.
Totally dead wrong,,,it looks nothing like what was portrayed in the movie.
As a matter of fact, it is infested with all sorts of toxic chemical contamination.
He is no hero and hopefully someday he will face justice.

Like I said..the actual site looks nothing like what was portrayed in the movie...there are no body scanners or any of the other BS they portrayed.
My group I worked with had full access to the entire facility... it was nothing like the movie.
Same reason I don't watch shows like NCIS...... once you have been inside these types of facilities, they way they are portrayed on TV and movies is laughable compared to the real thing.
I liked the movie...as long as you realize it is a completely fictional account of what transpired other than the actual leak itself.

"This was the SGINT OP Center on Hawaii, where u there ... and had FULL ACCESS?? i doubt that!"
I was stationed there for 4 years as a Telecommunications Specialist...we could monitor any traffic ging in and out of the station, it was a requirement to do our job properly. We had the highest clearances in the building with the exception of the Station Commander and a few select others.
I had full access to the entire site...all rooms, and all floors. There is nothing wrong with me making that statement.... it is on my DD214.
Now If I were to tell you what they did do, how many floors there were, or what the mission of the site was, then I might be going a little too far.
It's not hard to figure out KRSOC was used for if you just do a little research. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin did a story about the site that pretty much let the cat out of the bag so to speak.
In telecommunication, a technical control facility (TCF) is a telecommunications facility, or a designated and specially configured part thereof, that (a) contains the equipment necessary for ensuring fast, reliable, and secure exchange of information, (b) typically includes distribution frames and associated panels, jacks, and switches and monitoring, test, conditioning, and orderwire equipment, and (c) allows telecommunications systems control personnel to exercise operational control of communications paths and facilities, make quality analyses of communications and communications channels, monitor operations and maintenance functions, recognize and correct deteriorating conditions, restore disrupted communications, provide requested on-call circuits, and take or direct such actions as may be required and practical to provide effective telecommunications services.

I do get it...you do not. Edward Snowden is a traitor who deserves death by firing squad.
You focus on the domestic spying stuff...he took a lot more than just that and likely got people killed in the process.
