Alvarez vs Golovkin

Big fight tonight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. I'm surprised there has not already been a thread made about this. It is a fight between two top boxers and should be a thrill ride.

I'm not really picking one over the other. I just want to see who wins.

Gna watch it myself I fancy caleno but could go either way will be a good one for sure

I have a feeling its going to go 12 rounds with Golovkin wining by spit decision

Would like to see Canelo win, if he can put Golovkin away it'll likely be around round 5 or 6 but when it starts going into the later rounds Golovkin's gonna dominate. Have been looking forward to this fight for ages!

GGG has never been knocked down. Ever.

Canelo is fast but he wasn't fast enough for Mayweather.

Canelo also has a habit of not covering his face when he's in defense mode.

GGG puts people to sleep. (37-0, 33 knockouts)

If GGG hadn't looked so rough in that last fight against Jacobs I would have said it was a lock.

I hope it's a good fight .. it's 3 am here and still no where near starting 😐 I've got ggg for a KO Rd 11/12 .. both reallly good boxers and both bang a bit so I think it will be worth staying up for 😁

a draw isn't a win or loss...

his record is clean... but this felt like a set up for the big $$$$$$$ match

I know, it's a tie. A tie is not as good as a win. There's no doubt he won. I like both fighters very much and was actually rooting for Alvarez. Anyone who scored that fight 118-110 for Alvarez is either blind, mentally ill, or corrupt. Even 114-114 was a real stretch.

I had GGG winning by at the very least, two rounds.
Another example of a big money fight ruined by judges.

My solution:
A) 13 Round fights.. Less chance of a draw
and
B) 5 judges. Highest for each fighter is tossed and the 3 scorecards in the middle are used.

It's time for boxing to earn the respect that it deserves back.

Another solution, no more boxing in Vegas. And another, when a judge mis-scores a fight by that much, they are not allowed to do any more title fights.
