Seriously, according to the Detroit Free Press, about 200 people showed up to protest, but Detroit police things kept things orderly.

The Free Press can't tell you much about how the concert went, because Kid Rock refused to give them a press pass to get into the event. Seems he's a bit sore about the Freep calling him a racist. The Detroit News, however, had good things to say about the event and the new arena.
