Trevorrow out for EP.IX. Bring in Spielberg!

Colin Trevorrow has backed out of directing Star Wars episode IX after a 'soured' relationship with Kathleen Kennedy.

Who better to bring the magic than Steven Spielberg?

Several of my friends are vehemently opposed to the idea. VEHEMENTLY.

Spielberg did direct a few scenes in Revenge Of The Sith and was supposed to direct Return Of The Jedi before the Director's Guild strike forced Lucas to go with non-guild French director Richard Marquand (Eye Of The Needle) instead.

Steven Spielberg was an early supporter of Star Wars even trading profit points with Lucas against profits from Close Encounters.

I just think a Steven Spielberg Star wars film would be... breathtaking.
