Can you imagine the outrage we would have got from the folks justifying Trump keeping his tax returns secret and using his presidency to promote his business interest, if Obama did any of that while president?

The difference between Trump and Clinton and Obama and everybody else, is at least they had the decency to not go whole hog greedy while they were president.
Trump has no shame, he's gorging at the trough every day like a hog gone wild
Lol, greedy?
How much personal money did they donate or pledge to donate?
But at least they waited until they got out of office unlike Trump

Yep, making himself rich 'via the presidency'. Please refresh my memory, who was the last presdent to forgo a presidential paycheck?
JFK.
More recently Obama donated a portion of his paycheck to the treasury during the 2013 shutdown. Obama also donated the full $1.6 million amount of his Nobel prize money.

The good people at Public Citizen (www.citizen.org...) have been doing their homework and produced a paper on the President's business holdings as gleaned from public records.
The Report is 36 pages long... and can be found at:
www.citizen.org...
Of note, this gem:
Trump has created at least 49 business entities since he announced his bid for the Republican
nomination on June 16, 2015. Roughly half of the entities were related to projects in foreign
countries, including Argentina, India, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia. Trump reported between $2
million and $10 million in 2015 income off the entities he created after announcing for president105
and between $650,000 and $2.5 million in income from these entities in 2016.

It's a very detailed report, listing every source for the information for verification. There are well made charts including an interactive one that you can access here:
www.citizenvox.org...
You will also find a static version in the report.
They have even put together a short video presentation

So Trump, who had a brand for decades, is supposed to do what exactly?

So Trump, who had a brand for decades, is supposed to do what exactly? Let his company and All employees go and close up shop because he runs for President?
He complied with every rule once President. Most are just suggestions anyways, not law.
He doesn't take his Presidential salary, or donates it.
His brand is still Trump, even though he doesn't run it. Forcing a company with thousands of employees, a board and chairs to change a brand name would be illegal.
I find it funny that there are people that actually believe the person whom a company is named after makes every decision for it. These deals were likely set up by his board and others because he was running for office. He wasn't POTUS at the time and had no idea he would be.
This outrage is laughable at best.

Obama sold his book while he was president and made millions. Obama set the standard for corruption. Trump is only a follower.

If only people like you would spend as much effort on exposing actual corruption like Clinton corruption you could make the world a better place.
Is that the only argument you have - an invalid one.
I never voted for a Clinton in my life - I despised the both of them.
Trump is f**king DANGEROUS to the world, he's a laughing stock.
