It's arguable that DACA is unconstitutional.
The ultimate legal authority for DACA lies in the U.S. Constitution. Article II, Section Three of the Constitution states that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” Carrying out our immigration laws involves deciding who should be targeted for deportation and who should be allowed to stay. Similarly, Congress has given the executive branch discretion over “the administration and enforcement” of the immigration laws. And the Supreme Court has recognized that “[a] principal feature of the removal system is the broad discretion exercised by immigration officials ... Federal officials, as an initial matter, must decide whether it makes sense to pursue [someone’s] removal at all ...”

This has implications for 2018, 2020 and beyond.

I know...It's like every time Trump's approval ratings hit an unprecedented new low, he thinks..I can go lower than that! Let's deport innocent children! That should get rid of the few straggler Hispanics left that still support me!
Every GOP congressman I see interviewed these days has that "oh sh*&" expression on their face. How to spin the fact they are the diuretic that made this sh*& show possible.

So you don't even know what the requirements are?

Many people who immigrated legally don't see it as an insult. Of course there are those who love being "holier than thou".

Personal feelings aside though DACA is unconstitutional and violates current immigration law. Congress has 6 months to fix it or not. It is in federal court right now and I see the courts getting to decide before Congress does.
Not sure why how legal immigrants feel plays into this (as you pointed out to me some pages back). It is a simple matter of law.
as for your holier than thou comment - sure. And others think they should be treated differently with their holier than thou attitude of "the law doesnt apply to me".

Well its not just my "personal feeling" that DACA is unconstitutional and a violation of immigration law. The laws personal opinion is the same as mine.
I am and its why I responded the way I did. Are you following the thread?
