So it's God's will that 3.1 million children starve to death every year? You worship one sick puppy.
Amazing, even when President Trump just asks for a day of prayer for the victims and people who were affected in Texas and several left-wing ATS members get into a wild frenzy... BTW, asking for prayers for the victims in Texas is not going to stop the physical aid being sent to these people...
They are full of hate, plain and simple. Asking for a day of prayer, whether prayer does any good or not, keeps the issue in people's minds, and may persuade those that do believe to donate to the cause. For some people though, they will take anything, twist anything, to bash Trump. They would rather America suffer, just so they can blame it on The Donald.
How absurd. Pointing out that it is more important to provide actual help to the hurricane and flood victims is not "hate" by any stretch of the imagination. That's merely the standard rhetoric for any commentary that doesn't bow and scrape whenever anything "religious" is concerned.
As far as the poor opinions of Mr. Trump in evidence here, that's what the man has earned. Some choose to ignore his hateful incompetence, others do not.
Prove it. Show me where everyone "that knows him knows that he has NEVER been a religious person". How do you figure they are getting duped? What evidence do you have to prove this claim? This is going to be good.
The obscene religious performances that Trump does to appeal to his Evangelical base, when everyone that knows him knows that he has NEVER been a religious person are bad enough, but to see people of faith being duped by such chicanery motivates some to attempt to get them to see the obvious.
That said, Presidents calling for "National Days of Prayer" is merely standard PR tactics. No one should be that surprised that Trump did it. After all the attacks on rationality and scientific understanding that we've seen from this Administration though, some of you who are so sensitive to personal beliefs might try to understand that this action is the equivalent to a slap in the face to some of us. That doesn't keep some of you from getting away with saying others of us are "full of hate" that's just another example of the double-standards regarding religion in this society.

It's not the governments place to promote religion. He should have just made it a day of memory.
“Has Trump found religion in the Oval Office?” a headline asked. The answer from several of Trump’s biographers was no. “Donald has never been a spiritually or religiously serious person,” Timothy O’Brien, author of “TrumpNation: The Art of Being Donald,” told Politico.
Gwenda Blair, author of “The Trumps: Three Generations of Builders and a President,” said: “He's a transactional guy with humans, and it's no different with God — it's all about whatever is to his advantage with regard to his supporters, and referencing God is exactly and only that.”

I'm curious why the prayers didn't stop the hurricane to begin with?
Everything that happens on Earth and in the cosmos is God's will. Some prayers aren't answered because they are contrary to what God has planned.

Since North Korea has significantly escalated the threat of war ( www.bbc.com... ), perhaps this "Day of Prayer" should include all of mankind.
Well, let's see here...

Remember when celebrities, MTV, and the left in general came together for Katrina victims? Donating everything, telethons, etc.?
And... where are they now? Where are their donations, fundraisers, telethons, and prayer vigils? All we get from THEM right now is, "GOD KILLED ALL THE TRUMP VOTERS, YAY!"
