Actually, he's doing what he feels is best. All of us should be able to look in the mirror and feel good about our decisions. Including the President.

Thankfully, people who rise to the level of U.S. President don't have "snowflake" personalities. You wouldn't want someone in that office who makes decisions contrary to their own values, just because certain people would berate you.

IMO, the current President doesn't make decisions based on what anyone will think of him...good or bad. I'm exactly like that in all that I do. So it's easy to spot that trait in another person.
