Bill Gates?

I searched and couldnt find anything. I have always wondered if anyone knows anything about Gates and Co?

It seems to me that in order to become the worlds richest man, and have a death grip on the computer/software industry you would have to have some really good connections.

Now I am not saying that Bill is a member of a secret society, but am asking what people know about him and his connections?

Well, you can make out a 13, and 33 in the Windows logo, for what its worth.

An apt description. But then another anagram for his name is:
The Lying Liar was me.

Bill Gates rise to success was nothing to do with his skill as a programmer, entrepeneur, or anything else.

He was allowed to make a cut-throat deal (stealing from DOS makers, selling to IBM), and if you understand that he was ALLOWED to do it, then you are well on your way to seeing how his career was formed by those around him.

If you want the Upper Class society links, look no further than his wife, who was an employee at MS before she married him. Although, she was I guaranteed the most blue-blooded, well-connected female in the company....

he's just got bigger ballz than the other nerds, and good old fashioned business sense........he saw software as the future, not hardware and that if you control the OS, you control everything...he has more vision and nerve than the others

Hey guys, well here goes my first post....

I think that Bill Gates must have some connections somewhere.

Somewhere on the planet there WILL be someone that has some sort of computer/software that is better than what Microsoft have. The only problem is getting that computer/software out onto the market as Microsoft will most probabily someway or another get first grabs on it....

What else does Bill Gates own? I am sure he must have money in something somewhere, clubs? Bars? Companies? Shops? Banks?

He will know most things that are going on in the computing world, especially in this day and age as everything is done by computers....


Anyways guys hope it was an ok message for you, but hey at the end of the day this board is about your PERSONAL oppinions right? and showing your own ideas opinions to problems and things? Well htat is what ive tried to do here..... I read an article in a tech mag about he has to just be content with owning half the computer industry so he doesnt face more anti trust suits. Basically the author showed hoe he runs competitors into the ground, buys half the company via stock and turns it around. I haven't checked but as I understand it he owns a whole bunch of apple, sun microsystems and who knows what else?

Early photos of the Microsoft crew and Mr Gates' own mugshots on arrest might swing the "connectedness" theory away from old money and into what it is: the prototype of the nouveau riche.

But Bill Gates turned into something that looks halfway conservative with an intellect, while a stupid smirking chimp remains a stupid smirking chimp. The chimp's story is all about connections while Gates' is only more recently so...

Nepotism abounds, even close to home.

There's no better proof that the money's not his, than the fact that his family (his kids) won't inherit the money.

The money will go back to the people who were billionaires long before they chose to let Bill into the club.

Any one who doesn't know how MS started, basically, all software was free in those days. That was the code that computers were used on. That everything would be shared.

Well, anyway, Bill basically stole DOS from another company. He 'bought' it from them legally enough, but he then re-sold its rights to IBM, making himself huge bank, and making MS a fundamental part of the PC revolution.

You seem to have a conspiracy theory against everybody and everything. Did it ever occur to you that, most of the time, the simplest explanation is the most logical one? Not everything in this world is a conspiracy against you or the masses, I hope you realize that. In fact, it's been shown that carrying out a successful conspiracy is much much harder than you silly theorists make it out to be.

What really happened was IBM wanted to buy MS BASIC (A programing language) for the PC. They asked Gates and Allen their idea of the best OS to use with it. Gates/Allen suggested they use CP/M, when IBM went to Digital Research they were pretty much blown off. IBM went back to MS and asked them to develop something. Gates agreed and pretty much had his way with IBM who were pretty much thinking there was money to be made in just hardware. (OOPS!). Paul Allen knew of an OS that someone created (Q-DOS), so he went out and bought it for around 50K.

What made Gates his money was the new idea that people who buy software don't really own the software, they just bought the rights to use it.

Anyway if your worried about MS, stop using it and start using Linux, or Apple.

Serious researchers will need to check the sequence of the signs, which came first of the DOS and 95 versions or the deed poll name change. It seems the age is over or was it just an ushering in...

Scarily, I checked the ASCII conversions, and they were bang on for BILL GATES. although the III part is not Ascii, it is Greek, a valid enough combination.

A is 65, little a is 97, giving a difference of 32 for each letter's UPPER and lower case values.

Of course, skeptics will maintain 666 is merely a logical sum for a 9 digit conversion to Ascii, with an average of 74. 74 falls on the Letter I, and so on and so forth.

However, I will leave that to someone else to waste their time trying to disprove.

Its not that IBM got the cold shoulder in their business dealing, they made an offer that Digital Media didn't like, considering IBMs deep pockets, and the rights they would be getting.

They sold for less to Bill under the impression that he was small time, but more importantly WOULD NOT sell out DOS to IBM!!!

This one is correct if you include the space. But you didn't use the space in the WINDOWS95 or the BILL GATES III examples.. make up your mind.

I live in Seattle and actually went to elementary school with one of his relatives, I think he was a cousin. He told me how when Bill started out he went around to family members first to get investment money. My friend told me that his father didn't want anything to do with it.

Granted this guy could've been lying to me, but his last name was Gates.

Can you imagine being that guy's dad? If he had listened to Bill they'd be billionaires, instead I see the guy's son at the local tavern all the time.

Hmmm, strange alot of billionairs seem to do that. Didn't getty give the rest to charities and his art museum? There's a few billionaire's/millionaire's today that won't even give there money to there kids, but charities. And howard hughes money is in some strange blackhole vortex.

No. He didn't. The only thing he did that others wouldn't, is make use of some extremely CUTTHROAT business tactics, and use questionable morals founding his business, by basically betraying the company that gave them their break.

I guess people around here HATE hearing the story about selling your soul to the devil, so I won't repeat it.

But seriously, if you were the elite, you know you would choose a computer geek as the perfect front for a Computer industry you have run since the beginning.
