At this point I think all that matters to Trump is undoing something Obama has done.

I don't think it really matters what it is, just the Obama part.

that's the damn truth

large caliber weapons, heavy equipment and armored vehicles

Why would a police force require these capabilities?

Now I don't worry about crap like this. I don't.

However, you see a bunch of people who are capable of operating equipment like this, suddenly making themselves available for employment by the police ... Uh, yeah. I'm gonna become a little more than nervous.

I'm actually okay with this. Will need military weapons to combat the crazy right wingers and their hate protests.

Oh yeah sure, sounds like a great idea. Especially considering any jackass can pose as a fake law enforcement group and receive military surplus hardware from the government free of charge no questions asked. Yep, that has happened and been reported. Imagine the times not reported? Some advantageous militias must have some crazy gear!

I`m not worried about what they will or won`t do with this equipment I`m more worried about how much is this going to cost me as a taxpayer for them to have this equipment? is this equipment going to make me safer? and how much more in taxes is it going to cost me ?

when I look at the local court cases and see how many charges and cases are dropped by the DA I have to wonder if the increased cost of having this equipment is worth the risk of having the DA drop the charges.
if it`s going to cost the taxpayers an additional $20,000 per arrest just to have the DA drop the charges then it isn`t worth it to me.

increased taxpayer arrest costs to maintain the same dropped charges ratio isn`t a good deal for the taxpayers.

Giving civilians military equipment is a bad idea. If this is true, and I hope it is not. Police are very limited in the use of anything, other than poor knowledge of a "law" and how a Glock works. Or a "working knowledge" of a shotgun spread pattern. I love Pres. Trump. (I'd go to war for him). I went for lesser. But this is a bad idea and void of wisdom.

There ain't enough marines to even create a real "combat arm",..but, (they look good, on paper),..let alone, fight the/a Mafia, Democrat base. Best leave the job to civilian police. They got a couple days "in country" on the marines... I wouldn't want a marine to get ptsd. Because I'm patriotic, like that! God bless the marine corps! Even though the Army has like ten "corps".... Must be mismanagement. I'd figure.

They can't play or the Rangers could handle it all.

Army Rangers don't need to advertise. They just do, because that's what men do. And that is what's expected of them. Soldiers, do what needs doing. There's no "few and proud", Ranger. Just men,.. men doing what needs, doing, when it needs done! There's a thousand out there, that would've done the same thing. Marines are a waist of tax dollars. The Feds could hire KBR to do their job. They practically have. "Ship Security" could be handed to the Air Force and not skip a beat!... It is not rocket science. Just good management of "public funds". The marines have been disbanded, more than ounce.. It's not like America will miss any sleep over it. After all, they historically done their "best" under Army command... Pure fact!

I think this is a bad idea.

Police aren't military and military ain't police.

Armor stops rocks. If they didn't have to go to radical Left riots where great bodily harm is projected at them, they wouldn't need armor. The Hillary lost crying jag can't last forever but in the mean time, what's wrong with armor?

Because police aren't military, and military aren't police? Grog would say, "Armor bad, Me no like, armor".... It's not really a big deal. Just a minor adjustment to ops. Really all it does, is make for a longer "work" day. Unless the armor is on your side, which is swell! .. or you just don't like to "work"... Which could be troublesome. I'll gather it'll just be troublesome, no like to work. And adjust as needed.... I think it'd be hilarious if every "cop" drove an F15! Like they'd even know how to use armor...right! Let them have it! ... They should pack a lunch.

Armor is a great "intimidation" for a "search warrant". That would be a, or make a, "clean job". A little over done, but respectable. And nobody died/dies.. Really can't blame cops for wanting a system, they really don't know how to use, or what it is for. They have a 1% chance of somebody not being "intimidated". That's better than any lottery. God bless our boys/girls in blue!
