Mayweather betting on his fight

Appparantly Mayweather went inot the M casino and tried to bet a large sume that the fight would not last more than nine rounds. He proceeded to make some sort of a scene when denied for potential legal issues.

The fight lasts 10 rounds.

What if Mayweather has this happen, then word gets out that he expects the fight to last no more than 9 rounds. Other bettors make the bet he was not allowed to do. Then he has someone else bet a large amount of money that the fight will last more than 9 rounds.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I am certain it is not illegal to bet on yourself in a fight. He has never, once been shy about betting on himself. You couldn't bet on yourself to lose obviously, but betting on yourself to win is called good business mate. If you aren't planning to win the fight anyway you probably shouldn't enter the ring.

This isn't like betting on baseball when you are on the team and can throw a game.

BTW, the fight was hard to watch. IMO, it's not good to mix MMA with boxing. It' wasn't fun to watch (okay maybe a little) and Connor is a bad ass! Either way, stay tuned for a boxer in the MMA ring next.

What major league baseball/hall of fame ,did to Pete rose was a travesty imo. Pete never fixed a game and if his team was part of a bet it was always him betting with the team not against.

He did a long interview with Stern many years back and I gotta say it really seemed like he got the short end of the bat...

I agree. I hope that eventually, reason will be seen. I suspect it is just a matter of time, until some butt hurt guys are no longer alive or in charge.
