Does ATS Need a way to customize the Live Feed?

The "Live Feed" section of ATS is one of the greatest inventions, and makes it very useful when you're looking for a more broad selection of important & interesting stories.

That said, I keep thinking about how great it would be if there were a way to "omit" certain forums from appearing in the Live Feed.
For instance, if one were to omit, say, all political discussion forums... There feed would then be filled with the content from ATS that they are most interested in.
Certain articles more leaning towards "fringe" or scientific wouldn't be kicked off the front page so often, allowing for selective audiences to really engage with each other.

"Nothing is stopping people from just going to the forums", this is what I tend to do, but I notice that discussions in many forums tend to die off when they aren't visible from the main live section. Controversial stories dominating the view in it's stead.

How it could work:
Going to myATS, click "customize live feed", a list of forums appear and you simply un-check the ones you don't wish to see.

Curious what ya'll think, for now it is bed time!

The old ATS had a feature in the recent drop down.... it was a (-) next to the forum category, by pressing the (-) it would take away all threads related to that selection, leaving just what you wanted to see. That feature is gone.

I too would love to get rid of the political stuff, but everyone needs a laugh now and again

The idea in itself might be good, but setting a filter to exclude smth. beforehand, will always narrow down your horizont. I had a similar idea/not sure if it was a thing here. It´s like having an option to ignore certain members.

Maybe one day or another, this member will post something you were looking for or in general, just a great thread that sweeps under your radar because you choose to stick your fingers in the ears, by setting that filter.

There used to be a way... But deemed unnecessary. ...just go to your favorites. Otherwise.. it's a form of censoring the total input.
Kinda like watching the news and waiting for the weather or sports only.

Mine is customised the same as everyone else's -only include threads which contain the words "left', "right" or "Trump".
