A Florida mall is reportedly on lockdown.

People are reporting there’s an active shooter at the Dolphin Mall near Miami, according to TV stations.


Multiple people on social media said they heard gun shots, and others said the mall is on lockdown.

A large number of emergency services are responding to the scene, but there was no immediate word on whether anyone had been injured. A video from inside the mall showed people running and screaming while others took shelter inside stores.

Florida is both right to carry and stand your ground. Hopefully a citizen put and end to this before anyone got hurt. Or mall security .

Given the current state of the world a loud noise of any type in a mall could elicit that reaction.

In the end , I hope no one was hurt and it's just a false alarm.

Thing is that it doesn't actually take real shots to cause a panic. Just a suspicion of shots will do it.

That doesn't mean there isn't a shooter, but until we know for sure, a panic is a panic, and people can panic over what they think is happening, not what is.

Feets Don't Fail Me Now!

The mall is on lockdown and surrounded by police. Something serious happened or is still happening. But everything in that area is shutdown.

Add the chaos with witness reports and the place is locked down, it's very probable shots were fired.

We'll see once the smoke clears. Could be anything such as gang activity to a robbery or a fire cracker.
