Hi,

Just stumbled upon a new video (June 2017) about a cave painting in South India.
The placement of the doodle that looks like a circular flying saucer is high on the cave ceiling.
The figures seem very different from the other figures drawn on the walls.
The drawing is also partly eroded due to time.

What do you think?

I think you need to fix the video, it's not showing up and showing an error.

Could be topo diagram of the village.

Viewed from above, I see a perimeter fence, a circle of huts, I even see a bridge or ladder from the outer circle of huts to the center 'castle'.

Maybe its a digram of a conquered village then? Anyway, who says they all lived in caves? Caves were the best place to put cave paintings, they are protected from the elements.

Double anyhoo, what 'prrof' you have thats a 'UFO'?

Maybe it was a diagram used to plan an attack on another village, handed down to us thru time.

I think that for it to look like a UFO it had to be single, tiny, out of focus dot.

I think that the youtuber confuses actual sightings with pop culture representations thereof. There are hardly *ever* reports of such sightings - not instantly dismissible ones are even fewer and farther between.

Edit: I also think it is interesting anyway - thanks for posting!

Wait a minute... by 2:30 the guy has all but said these caveman were little more than monkeys. Artful monkeys ? Remember Indians are quite resplendent with their history and Gods using grandiose pageantry in sculpture, paintings and art.

I don't doubt the cave paintings, but the fella expounding his theory. He may be in earnest, but I believe he's off track a bit.
He has theorized some pretty convincing ideas that at face value seem highly logical.

Great topic S&F

Hard to trust what we have been told after Göbekli Tepe among other things.

Mysterious structures found deep inside a French cave are the work of Neanderthal builders who lived in the region more than 100,000 years before modern humans set foot in Europe.

For all the feats Neanderthals achieved, until now, building had never seemed one of their strong points. “Early Neanderthals were the only human population living in Europe during this period,” Jacques Jaubert at the University of Bordeaux writes in the journal, suggesting the early human species were even more sophisticated than even expert researchers appreciated.

Could also be drawn above to represent a sacred place.

It's not a UFO, it's obviously a map of some kind. That in itself is plenty interesting without it being a UFO.

You can see representations of roads and rivers and a huge chain of mountains that goes halfway around the edge of the map. Maybe the Himalayas, since it's from India. Here it is with some of the decayed parts brought out a little more:

I'd tend to agree with your conclusion based on the picture you have provided. Generally speaking a circle may represent the horizon line from a single perspective. The triangular shapes and line shapes around the outside of the circle may represent the geographic features of the horizon like mountains and grasslands.

The 13 smaller circles inside the larger one may represent lunar months in a lunar calendar year with each one being a full moon indicating a full lunar cycle each. They may also be suns that might indicate 13 days of travel to the mapped destination. I get a feeling of the passage of time with those elements at any rate.

I think that the upper right of your picture is actually the bottom and that the zig-zaging lines may represent a body of water. The ladder like lines may represent a ground line, similar to a child's drawing of the ground plane as a single horizontal line at the bottom of a picture. Their seems to be a reclining human figure above that with some kind of arch above that may represent the vault of the sky, or maybe a roof of a building. Those other circles and lines are harder for me to ascribe a meaning for. Obviously the whole image is some form of pictogram describing some complex story that was told to people who were in the cave. It may of had a religious meaning as caves were generally a sacred space for early humans.
