Go ask your neighbors if it is their cat. It probably belongs to the cute blonde down the street. Maybe the cat is trying to get you to go out and socialize in the neighborhood, with real people. Fate has a way of steering us.

I'm taking her to the vet in 15 minutes to see if she's chipped or in need of any medical help.
I've also checked neighboring streets to see if any signs have been posted for lost cats.
Earlier, I stopped by the Humane society and they are absolutely NOT accepting any cats right now.

Also, I have called two 'no-kill' cat shelters.

I'm waiting to see what the vet will have to say.

I wanted to show you my adopted kitty!

She's looking deep into your eyes and asking you to 'please help her cousin" LOL

Beautiful.
She looks a lot like "Mrs. Fluffy Noodles".

Good luck with Mrs. Fluffy Noodles.

Hopefully, she is chipped. You will be a hero to the owner.

I believe too, that fate is at work here.

Looking forward to pictures.

The dogs are in the house, but have free run of the yard.
They don't seen to know about the cat yet.

After a few days cats and dog ajust and become fast friends.

Yep, she has pretty much staked you out.

You do not need all her kittens though.

What I would do is think about this. If you decide to keep her, get her vetted. She may not be preggers. If she is, look into no-kills and rescues in your area. You may be inadvertently turning your home into a temporary foster situation because she'll need to raise her kittens for at least 8 to 12 weeks, but if you hook up with a good no-kill group, they'll start looking for homes for them before they leave you, and they'll hopefully take them off your hands as soon as they can be weaned.

If you hook up with a good rescue group, they should be able to do the kittens vet care too.

Then miss thang can be fixed and you have a nice kitty.

I have heard so many people say they are NOT cat people, but a cat chooses them and suddenly there are cats and dogs living together...IN SIN. Ha! We have dogs and cats together and it is one peaceful fur kingdom.

We rescued a little black kitty that was eating clumping litter (poor thing had pica from starvation), and we call him Panther, because he is lithe and amazing, like a real panther.

Picture time! Cats are psychic, and they do NOT attach to bad people. Consider it a compliment because cats cannot be fooled.

My Panther as a tiny bottle feed sweetheart:

Annnnnd $175 later...

Back from the vet:
No chip
Less than a year old
No health issues, fleas or ticks, but I had her treated for worms and fleas
Also had her nails trimmed

Had her X-ray'd...
8 kittens in her...10-14 days away!

Vet says she has 'Egyptian' in her...and was probably dumped on the side of the road by a previous owner who discovered she was pregs.
Happens all too often, she said.

Let her have a safe place to have her babies. Try to handle them after a week or so, because if kittens aren't handled by the time they're 4 weeks old, they will be more feral and less friendly.

Then you can give them away. Be CAREFUL, a lot of people take kittens for snake food and for dog fight bait. I adopted a brother and sister for my daughter a few years ago, and the people said that they wanted $20 just to prove that we were serious and not going to use the teeny babies for horrific things. She still has them 3 years later, and they are awesome, she LOVES them.

You have been chosen, and the fact that you took her to the vet shows that the cat was wise in her choice. Congratulations, "dad".

Oy.....EIGHT kittens!
She was probably knocked up by the ugliest Tom in the neighborhood.

Your advice on the kittens was exactly what the vet said.

Cats often mate with several males and you get a hodge-podge of colors and patterns. Here are two rescued last year from a crack house in the woods (scary deal, crazy people, but totally worth it). Note the one half Siamese, and the other is a calico Manx (no tail). Two different fathers.

I named my little manx Punkin' Butt.

Fission named her sweet little Siamese mix Sugar Britches.
