Alt-right was bestowed upon everyone who supported Trump by the people on the left. Before that, I have no idea where it came from.

So, I end up being alt-right the same way I would up being Neo-Con ... because it became a convenient slur to throw around by people on the left who neither knew nor cared what it really meant or whether or not I was really an appropriate label.

You talk about being broadbrushed alt-right, and then you...broadbrush the left?

Smh.

That's not helping things.

BTW, the "alt-right moniker, was bestowed to the alt-right by the alt-right.

Yep,... and the alt left moniker just popped out of trumps head and was immediately picked up by all his parrots

Alt left squawk alt left squawk squawk squawk

Alt-left has been used on this very site long before Trump uttered the phrase.

He is a Pastor. He preaches to a Christian congregation (supposedly).

Read Leviticus 25:44-46

As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are around you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly.

How can a man preach from a book that not only allows slavery, but orders those with slaves to have them of other races specifically, be taken as anything other than a joke in this situation?

If being in a park named after a man that owned less than a hundred slaves irritates him, it must make him physically ill to enter the house of worship to a God that laid the groundwork to enslave entire nations.

Not at all surprising that a "religious" man is injecting himself into national politics and he happens to come from Chiraq.

Why is it always Chicago? Is there something in the water?

Maybe it has but I have not seen it. But just look at its usage in the last two days. It is off the charts, squawk squawk.

All you white people can expect to pay reparations for slavery soon.
If you disagree, you are a Nazi and can be stabbed.

Fun times ahead.

Thank you George Soros.

Please read my post carefully.

Stop with the Soros boogey man. It discredits you in discussions and people from your side and people from mine desperately need to be able to talk to each other. I single you out here because you're typically easy to talk to even in disagreement.

This call for removal is wrong in my opinion and won't gain support like for the removal of Confederate monuments. Washington and Jackson were not traitors to America. They were our Founding Fathers, wrong as they were to not think of Africans as whole people.

There is something to be said for reparations as well. The generations of slave owners and their living to this day descendants were able to build massive amounts of wealth off the free labor, while slaves even after being freed were denied all ability to earn wages. This is why so few black families have generational wealth and instead have generational poverty.

That's not to say there isn't white generational poverty or that it's impossible to escape poverty for black people. We need to honor our treaties with the First Nations and we need to figure out a way to pay back the free labor that built this country and made so many wealthy.

You've only been told a million times. Google Richard Spencer on the alt-right. Bannon too. It's their term, they invented it themselves.

By "people on the left" is what I said. Are you denying that people on the left do this? I didn't say all leftists or even leftists, just "people on the left."

Is there some specific category of people on the left who do that because I've never heard that label if there is. It's just people on the left, some on this very sight. They've been very busy here lately, only this time, they're busy calling a lot of people Nazis.

While what you say may have popularized the term I continue to think it was coined by other conservative people.
But to the meat of what you point out I agree it is a huge generalization and does no good other than to promote lazy thinking. Just as I see all of trumps statements to be, lazy thinking

They can rename Washington DC as Democratic City #1.
Rename the local wal mart State Store #3 etc. You get my drift.

It is being used correctly. It is being used on White Nationalist, Supremacists, Anti-Semites, Nazi, Neo-Nazi's etc...

Not Conservatives, not Republicans, not Right-Wingers in general. I'm sure there's some lazy blanket labelers around but you could realize they're such and ignore them if you're actually interested is dialogue.

How are we supposed to pay back the dead? Generations later don't deserve any free money. Especially because you can't predict financial outcomes of what could've been.

Also, since wealth is so concentrated in today's American please tell me how any whites living today (despite the 1%) have any of their forefathers wealth?

There was no process in Baltimore. We were not given a choice. The mayor and her cronies made the decision and in the dark they removed them. We woke up today and they were gone and they cannot tell us where the statues are or where they will end up.
