I'm all for protest and free speech.

This is just asking for trouble.

But hey, people are free to be as stupid as they want in our society. Just look at the Kardashians.

Sigh.

My favorite part is the guy who put in a permit was inspired by Charlottesville.

I won my last wrestling tournament at A and M I feel sad these idiots may decend on the normal students that attend. It's not exactly Wesleyan

On a side note I was surprised how many of the tough guys on the nazi side were throwing windmills and running away. I even saw a girl push back a line of shielded dudes. It's like a b roll from the purge.

Not that I want people to know how to fight just that a lot of these nazis looked like they just came from the country club. The street rats from antifa were holding there own.

The people who think these things are about free speech are delusion. Both sides of the nasties want to fight in the streets but are too lazy to take up mma or boxing and fight fairly.

I've meet a couple folks from Texas & I don't think Texan's are gonna stand and let ANY group no matter who or what their cause is come in a muddy up Texas.......They have that saying for a damn reason.........Don't mess with Texas.

A lot of people here I talk to don't care to be part of or condone this stuff. You can bet the people there will represent only a few Texans that are out there on the edge. Another thing to remember is that there are many people here who relocated from another state.

As always, I will have to see what really happen and what is said.

UK white nationalist groups frequently publicise rallies and don't turn up. It's either trolling the Anti-Fascist Action guys or being too scared to get enough numbers. Who knows? It's all good for the media in the tiny circles who are interested.

Maybe these people are promising a rally in Texas for the media lulz and might not show?

The difference between UK Far-Right rallies and the one in Charlottesville is ours are always heavily policed. Some are so well policed that all the public transport routes are manned by pairs of officers and bars/pubs either close or lock their doors to strangers. Trouble usually breaks out and only to the point of a few cuts, breaks and bruises.

It seems to me (I could be wrong) that these US rallies would be tumbleweeds if the Antifa didn't bus in scores of counter-protesters. Who knows why, but waving swastika flags seems to leave 99.9% of people cold.

WHYYY

All these extremists (both left and right) need to chill the # out.
I really do think that both are likely being organized behind the scenes by the same folks if we trace the money to its source. They want societal chaos.

The rise in support of neo-nazism in the US in the last couple years is directly related to sjws cultural assault, which isn't an excuse, just a fact. Neo-nazis existed before but they were largely impotent as a group. When Clinton said that everyone who is right wing / supports Trump is a deplorable bigot, when everything becomes "racist", when half the country has been called racist by someone, then there is no longer a barrier between normal ideologies and actual racist/extremist ones. This makes it much easier for extremists like neo-nazis to recruit. This mess is the result, and I think it's probably in a self-sustaining cycle now, unfortunately, where left and right extremists feed off each other.

Go home nazis, nobody wants you.

I have the feeling Texas A&M will somehow prevent this from happening at the school. But I suspect it will happen some where near there.

Well, if it hadn't been for Marvin Zindler they could all have gone to La Grange, chilled out and settled their differences.

You broke the real first rule:

First rule of Nazi fight club is you don't speak about Nazi fight club.

You lose all your Nazis.

I think I am going to wear a Ben Franklin costume and see who tries to beat me up. I keep a little jalapeño powder in the powdered wig in case I have to go full dandy and slap some fools.

Sept 11th and all for the date. Even classier.

Texas state rep says no to protest, for what that is worth.

A Texas representative said Monday on the House floor that a white supremacist rally on Texas A&M University's campus has been cancelled.

A former Texas A&M student announced on Saturday that he would host a White Lives Matter event in College Station on Sept. 11.

The university has not publicly commented on the event or its cancellation.

That's always the way, a few idiots ruin it for the majority.

The problem is though that the ease of communication the digital age has brought us also means it's very easy for bad ideas to gain traction nowadays.

New Zealand Nationalist rallies are usually 5 to 10 idiots (in uniform), sometimes they just poster bomb things at midnight
Generally we don't put up with their nonsense. The history of the white power movement overhere is rife with infighting, and imploding under their own egos
Long may that stay.

Yeah, everyone out for their moment of fame by shocking people with their infantile behavior. I don't even think that those online who spread the hate amount to anything but a tiny percentage of the whole.

All of this gets way too much attention and the Internet has certainly proven to be a double edged sword.

‘Unite the Right’ organizer Jason Kessler was reportedly an Obama supporter involved in the Occupy movement as recently as November 2016, before establishing his white supremacist group “Unity & Security for America” in January, 2017.

Apparently this guy Kessler was an Obama supporter just last year before a sudden political views shift.

Am I the only one who thinks this stinks on several levels?

So what's the status? Has this potential powder-keg been cancelled yet?

I don't know, but not even a year ago the guy was an avid Obama supporter, now all of a sudden he starts a "white supremacy" group? Almost like he is controlled opposition. A game we know "they" love to play.

One of the truly sad side notes from this is people outside the US getting the idea these groups are large. The radicals from both sides are very small groups that are not even remotely representative of what we are truly like.

That is a big problem though, how many times on these boards do we see the same people going on and on about Europe is crumbling, the sky is falling etc etc etc, the media sensationalize each and every story and the people fall for it each and every time.
