With all the recent "talk" about nuclear bombs from North Korean and Iran, CBS channel2 Chicago has brought it to everybody's attention that the City of Chicago has a "Plan" of recommendations for you !!

City Of Chicago Offers Advice In Event Of Nuclear Attack

CHICAGO (CBS) — What should one do in the event of a nuclear attack?

Not long ago, it seemed like an abstract question. That was before President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who have been escalating military threats recently.

Just today, Trump said his earlier warning about bringing “fire and fury” upon the communist nation may not have been tough enough. When asked what could be tougher, he said, “Well you’ll see.”

The threat of nuclear war is much scarier that the reality, as the New York Times notes in this report.

Still …

The City Of Chicago, as it happens, has a whole page dedicated to the topic on its website

So Chicago thinks they may be a target??

That's certainly giving The Little Fat Man a great deal of oomph....



I'm not sure this is the best use of CBS Chicago's time. Perhaps they should dedicate some effort in training Chicagoans in how to avoid being shot in the head by other Chicagoans...that's a FAR more likely scenario than NK nuking the Windy City.

How about they give out bullet proof vests to their city dwellers. They are in much more danger from being shot by a gang member than blown up by a nuke.

You mean they aren't producing pieces explaining to the citizens how to avoid ICE raids?

So what's the AOE of a modern nuke? I suppose it depends on the size, but if Chicago is hit I'm pretty sure I'm screwed.

Thank you for sharing this. It's the responsible thing for a city to do, especially one that has been named as a "reachable target" in the ongoing war of words.

I'm so tired of seeing Breaking News that starts with the words, "Donald Trump said..."

It's not generally good news, at all.

These two leaders squared off, are a hot mess. As in nuclear hot mess.

Is this the future humanity is choosing?
