There are many "new" theories on why "clogged" arteries happen. And a lot of them have more to do with sugar and eating things that are white (bread-rice-sugar-cereals) than eating meat. Meat may not be the culprit is made out to be.

That's pretty much what I'm saying, and my beef, poultry and other critters. I use the same farms and purveyors for my home consumption that I did when I was in the restaurant industry and none of them are factory farms.

Human diet is originally plants and insects.

Insects are animal protein. I just prefer my protein with four legs, not eight.

Oh, the depression could have nothing to do with diet though... The decision to go vegetarian could have been made because of depression. What? But they did rule out the possability that vegetarians have a more evolved sense of empathy for the feelings of other sentient beings, and are by nature more likely to struggle with emotions given the levels of suffering there is in this world.

I don't think any of us are pretending we don't eat vegetables along with our meat. As a matter of fact, I like vegetables with my entrees since I like a well-rounded meal, not one filled solely with decaying plant matter.

If anyone here is playing a game it's you who is decrying the omnivores for eating meat yet you also eat meat. Stop being a self-loathing omnivore. Meat loves you.
