Hi everyone, Drastik's the name, like everyone else I've been a lurker for years and finally decided to create an account.

I'm in Detroit, male, 39 years old, blue collar guy.

Started working right out of high school at a tool and die shop, worked my way from delivery driver to head of CNC mill division.

Then shortly after 9/11 work dried up and I left the shop. Did a few other things, now I'm head of maintenance for a high end 18 story building in downtown detroit.

I've got a wild story to share so I'm eager to get through my 20 post requirement!

3. I see you're in the D but have you ever been to Lake Michigan? I know some people from the Mitten who have never been.

Lake Michigan is one of my absolute favorite July/August/September destinations. We are going to South Haven this weekend *fingers crossed* to see the meteor shower, and if it's too cloudy, to enjoy the scenery and the people who live there.

Lake St. Claire is okay too IMO but I have some bad memories of a relationship involving the Harrison Charter Township area of the lake so.... meh.

How old is that building?

Actually I do have a couple of ghost stories from the building, but I hadn't even been thinking of those when I wrote my post.

The building was constructed by Albert Kahn in 1914 and he may have actually passed away in the building, although I've read differing accounts on that.

Actually the "wild story" involves a daytime UFO sighting,...more of an encounter really.

Hahaha, I've been following all the drama.
