We'll see. They need to branch out. Get creative. Gotta think there is more to the post apocalyptic world than some surly, dirty sadistic thugs. At least in this few years time frame.

It's pretty simple: a blockbuster premier, followed by a dozen episodes of conversation, capped off with a cliffhanger finale.

It’s just that after 7 seasons people aren’t exactly excited by more of the same.
This season needs to up the ante or it’ll lose a lot of viewers.
The whole Negan thing isn’t new. It’s the same plot line with a few different twists and sub stories.
Main group encounter new group they fight for etc.
The Negan stuff got tired very quick.
They need to finish off with the Negan stuff and move on

The Cast has become too large.....I could care if most of them die.

The writing is ultimately the problem with the show. They need to improve it dramatically to get their mojo back.

I am admittedly not as enthusiastic for this season as I've been in the past. I suppose it's to be expected. The show is going on eight years old already now, and after a certain amount of momentum and popularity, it was bound to fade out a little. I'm guessing once popularity dies to the point where AMC doesn't view TWD as the novel cash cow it has been thus far, they'll just go ahead and cancel it to save themselves money and effort.

Haters gonna hate ....

Admittedly the show has had it's ups and downs, but what long term series doesn't ?

I'm optimistic about the upcoming season..

So yeah I wrote all that to pull a Laurence fishburn, and bumpy Johnson this thread..
