My only problem is that Eli Roth is directing. Not a big fan of extended torture scenes, which I'm sure we'll have to endure.

I went to the Wikipedia page for 'F-Troop' to refresh my memory. It is Hekawi, but was almost Fugawi.

Chief Wild Eagle explains how the tribe got its name: "Many moons ago, tribe leave Massachusetts because Pilgrims ruin neighborhood! Tribe travel west, over stream, over river, over mountain, over mountain, over river, over stream! Then come big day... tribe fall over cliff. That when Hekawi get name. Medicine man say to my ancestor, "I think we lost. Where the heck are we?". "Where the heck are we?" became "We're the Hekawi" (the original name for the tribe in the series, 'Fugawi', was changed after the censors discovered the sentence "Where the Fugawi?"

My wife and I like to re-do that show with modern day actors.........Seann William Scott As Corporal Agarn......George Cloony as Sergeant O' Rourk......Capt. Wilton Pometer....played by Anthony Clark of the sit-com "Yes Dear"......Jessica Simpson as Wrangler Jane Angelica Thrift......Chief Wild Eagle...?????? Crazy Cat???????? Hudson Hawk was the worst IMHO

The original was quite dark and moody..the pacing of it and his gradual unravelling was what made it so great.

This looks like the typical action BS that Hollywood endlessly churns out, it does look upbeat and almost comedic in places. Can't say I'm gonna pay to watch it but it might be ok for some mindless entertainment for a couple of hours.

It'll be another generic Bruce Willis movie under the title of Death Wish , Bruce Willis is Bruce Willis in every movie he does this looks no different.

Hollywood will just keep churning them out because people want to consume brain junk , old media is dead.

Hollywood really dropped the ball by never putting out a Duke Nukem movie with Willis in the lead role. That's honestly the one role he was born to play.

I'll certainly watch this, loved the original and I'm OK with Willis in the role, but it really should have been Josh Brolin.
