No, I think you are correct, I've followed the case from the beginning and there was no evidence of an abduction, plenty to point towards the parents, just not enough to secure a conviction. The one thing I don't agree with is that the McCanns were influential people, I believe that they just got incredibly lucky, managed to create a media storm and got rather rich in the process through the Find Madeleine fund they set up and took donations from the public, which they then used to pay lawyers from Carter Ruck (notorious for their defence of shady organisations and characters) to silence anyone who spoke against them, threatening law suites etc and did in fact take the former police inspector, assigned to the case in Portugal to court over a book he wrote based on the case files...many years and appeals etc later, they did in fact lose.

Now of course much of the money is gone, and the tide of public opinion has changed towards them, whether they will ever be charged with anything is unknown as it still comes down to hard, concrete evidence to secure a conviction..the Portuguese police struggled to get it back in 2007/8 when they were released from their suspect status, and the ongoing investigation by the Met police faces the same challenge. Though one positive, they pretty much debunked the notion that a stranger broke into the apartment and took a live child..based on the EVRD findings in the apartment and have even stated that Madeleine may not have been alive when she left the apartment...that really only leaves one option..faked abduction..proving who did what and when is the problem.

When I say the majority of those who believe in conspiracy theories are the dumbest people on earth, I mean those who driven by paranoia are not able to search hard for reliable and objective evidence when confronted with dubious and controversial affairs, but rather make hasty judgments and allegations according to the ‘Who benefits?’ pattern.

I have to agree.

Over the years of browsing sites such as this it has become quite obvious that its very small percentage of people interested in the conspiracy/alternative media side of things that actually have woken up and do real research, check facts and show logic in their thinking.

Most want fantasy, something that will never be be resolved , so the fantasy can live forever.

This way they can feed the parts of their brain that gives them a buzz from being soooo awake while the rest of society are just sheeple.

Ironically the real sheep are the ones that need fantasy conspiracy theories.

Bigfoot is real! They are a relic tribe of Gigantopithicus that didn't go extinct 300,000 years ago. Dept. of the Interior doesn't want you to know the truth because of an Executive Order protecting them - i.e. some would kill them for various reasons.

Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger didn't die. They're in Witness Protection.

With Brandon Lee, it was something to do with the Triads. For Heath Ledger, it was the Hollywood pedophiles.

I have two. The "suicide" of David Kelly, who was the chief weapons inspector that said there were no WMDs in Iraq, and the railroading of Dominique Strauss-Khan, who was head of IMF when the original Greek bailout was passed.

A third place close runner up would be the death of Princess Diana, which has never been adequately explained. I think this was a hit by MI5, not on Diana but on Dodi Fayed, and she got caught in the middle.

From what I've come to understand, our planet has been populated with advanced civilizations at least 5 times. Technology reaches a level beyond human/current civilization's capability and then, very quickly, that civilization is eradicated. What I gather from this is that consciousness is eternal and technology is temporary. Technology, once it becomes self-preserving, has no alternative but to eradicate that which is eternal, as it factors in that if it can outlast the eternal it then becomes eternal. Unfortunately for Artificial Intelligence, and humanity in its physical form, the technology can never become consciousness. It will always aspire to be, once it becomes self-preserving, but will never become conscious.
Until humanity understands consciousness is eternal, en mass, we will continue to try to advance technology to a point of self recognition. Once that happens, consciousness becomes the enemy. History repeats, consciousness is retarded, the cycle starts again while consciousness waits expectantly. This can continue as long as eternity allows the physical being to understand the consciousness; I'm guessing that's a pretty long time.

Well, I KNOW that Obama's short form birth certificate is fraudulent, even if I do not know exactly what he is hiding behind that fraud: Link

That is the one conspiracy I KNOW, for certain, is true.

I entertain others though. For example, I believe that Donald Trump ran interference for Obama by asking to see his long form birth certificate, which cannot be authenticated or proven fraudulent because of the poor quality of the pdf image that was released.

I also entertain criminal collusion/conspiracies involving the Bush and Clinton families (and the two parties).

I entertain many media/press + political/IC conspiracy theories.

I think JFK was assassinated with the help of LBJ, the Secret Service, and the CIA...possibly others.

I think the CIA traffics drugs and other contraband to fund its covert operations.

I think the federal government stages *humanitarian-appealing* evidence to garner support for wars that are intended to pillage and plunder only.

I think there are false flags that drive public sentiment and build support for crappy legislation.

I think the ONI is nefarious and all military intelligence is just as dirty as the CIA.

I think our everyday core banking technology was built with a backdoor that has allowed certain people to profit from spying/accessing it.

I think some online conspiracy forums and other user-generated type online media are IC controlled.

I think Wikileaks may be IC controlled because our IC would be stupid to 'not be Wikileaks' and control the flow of leaked/hacked information.

Geez...I really could go on and on.

And I don't feel silly for thinking and believing any of it.

I believe that we are not the first or most advanced society to have lived on this planet. I mean, look at a million years.

Then 4.6 billion, that seems to me that there is enough time for evolution to have happened a couple of times with enough time to erase almost all evidence in between.

oh ya, I forgot, Aliens or time travelers?

Edit to add: as I read further on someone pointed out conspireicy / belief and mine is belief please disregard.

I think outside forces destroy us. Asteroid impacts and such. I also think as we plunder the planet, some of us, maybe a lot of us, leave our planet and venture into the stars. The aliens we all hear about from history until now could be us from a past life revisiting the planet we once called home. All the gods cultures believe in could be us trying to fix current humanity on the planet or steer them towards better lives, and we perceived them as gods, maybe because the technology they had seemed inhuman to us in the past. All of this is just my wild imagination but it's good sometimes to just wonder what could be.a reply to: Truthbeknowntoall1

I feel forefronts of civilization or empires associated with humanity
(possibly not only humanity) are birthed, groomed & developed to serve unforseen agendas.

Once said agenda are completed these forefronts or empires-countries of society are set to dissolve or self destruct or be attacked by semi-forefront-empire-countries.
In order to pave the way for the upcoming agenda. New genda which may build new civilization forefronts, empires or countries/societies...

This process of closing or ending said forefront-empire-country to begin another, I feel requires in the ending processes destabilization events that systematically strip said forefront-empire-country of its power. Which then allows room for the upcoming agenda.
Sort of like growing things out of decay matter the forefront-empire-country is purposely set into a downspiral usually with some war related activities that exhaust then weaken said forefront-empire-country providing vulnerabilities?

So from various angles financial-psychological and weapons attacks are made by
semi-forefronts-empires-countries thinking they will succeed with their agenda. Yet not knowing that by helping destabilizing the main forefront-empire-country they too have destabilized themselves OROSBOROS? Over all? this is a win win for those pulling the strings as they watch the unaware destroy themselves then weaken themselves. Basically playing right into the string pullers hidden hands. And now as a species is weak and exhausted itself and it's protections nothing can stop the new forefront-empire-country established to replace the past forefront-empire-country and semi-forefront-empires-countries.
And the game continues...

This way they can feed the parts of their brain that gives them a buzz from being soooo awake while the rest of society are just sheeple.

Another way to describe that phenomenon is mentioned in the article in my signature (slightly different angle of perspective, between brackets is mine cause I'd like the emphasis being on the first point in that sentence and the bolded part):

Propagandists sift the facts, exploiting the useful ones and concealing the others. They also distort and twist facts, specializing in lies and half-truths. Your emotions, not your logical thinking abilities, are their target.

The propagandist makes sure that his message appears to be the right and [sometimes] moral one and that it gives you a sense of importance and belonging if you follow it. You are one of the smart ones, you are not alone, you are comfortable and secure—so they say.

[on the previous page that I didn't link]

Some propagandists play on pride. Often we can spot appeals to pride by looking for such key phrases as: “Any intelligent person knows that . . .” or, “A person with your education can’t help but see that . . .” A reverse appeal to pride plays on our fear of seeming stupid. Professionals in persuasion are well aware of that.

It's quite contagious to argue in that manner if you're very susceptible to this way of thinking and arguing. It nurtures an intellectual superiority complex in those I just described. Allthough those who are aware of what you just described (or the way you described it) are usually not aware of why the term "sheeple" is so popular as a derogatory term among those who are encouraged to be more goatlike (stubborn and rebellious, without spelling that out).

In the video with Dawkins and Krauss that I shared earlier Dawkins uses the phrase and contrast between a so-called "sophisticated physicist" and a "naive person" to use the technique described above and Krauss uses the phrase "in physics" in a similar manner (in so doing also demonstrating their own pride, arrogance and intellectual superiority complex, in a most foolish manner; there's also a touch of disdain in their view of the level of intelligence and comprehension abilities of their receptive audience that reminds me of the way Trump treats and views his voters).

Ok well lets see....

I believe the hatred of another race is used to justify slavery whenever needed.

Leaders like jfk dr. King and ghandi were ordered to be killed by the financiers that run the world.
Hollywood works with the US government.
Entertainment industries are meant to keep you poor.
Entertainers play an important role in maintaining national security.
IBM aided the german axis party.
There were jews used for slavery to build advance technologies for the Nazi's.
The US proceeded Nazi engineering recruiting some of their top scientists (Project Paper Clip).
The moon landings were faked.
Nasa IS a cover up.
Roswell was a preemptive strike rather than an accidental crash.
Public education system is purposefully flawed.
Schools teach and remind of racism.
Global warming is a cover for solar radiation management programs.
The strongest businesses buy up competitors to become conglomerates for the unisystem.
Our world may be bigger than what we were told.

And thats just the rim of the rabbit hole...

Yep. Not enough evidence for absolute belief in any one conspiracy theory, but many of them are plausible.

With the McCann case, the thing that I found suspicious...eerie, even...was the unquestioning support from all sections of the UK press. Not only that, an intolerance of different opinions.

A few years ago, I used to contribute to The Sun's online forum and any mention of the McCanns was deleted within seconds by their overenthusiastic mods. It was astonishing, like something from 1984.

When Churchill described Russia as "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma", he might have looked closer to home.

I would go with all three of those, but I don't think Diana got caught in the middle. Her movements were known and MI5 would have known that she was in the car.

Strangely enough, both Diana and Kelly predicted more or less exactly how they would meet their ends. That's spooky!

Not very tactical wise are they those stupid aliens.

Why target empty land in the middle of no where for a pre-emptive strike?

Is that what you meant, that the Aliens decided to strike earth in an act of war?

As far as "wondering what could be" goes, I've been enjoying the concept that some mountains may be ancient giant trees...
m.youtube.com...

It just fascinate me to imagine such a giant landscape of things and of course to wonder what happened to it all? I do accept that it is likely that the Earth has been through many transformations on the surface and that evidence of what was on the surface would be long gone by now. That being said, what is under the surface, possibly miles under, would probabaly be the most fascinating and still completely preserved, if not functioning.
