Probably should be in the Grey Area.

I was watching the International Space Station heading east just under the big dipper. Then a very bright object came into view over me headed towards lake Erie. Going north..like an astroid scraping the atmosphere.
It was vaping like a fuzzy glow around it. Not a satellite ( I'm not drinking ).

The event lasted 10 or so minutes. I got a bit of tunnel vision, so i could not grab my camera that is in the car.
Gosh damn my fur is still up.
I stared seemingly waiting for it to enter the atmosphere as it headed north down over the horizon.

Anyone in PA OH NY or Toronto see this?

Here's the ISS after I came in to right this up. You'll see the time stamp on this screen cap.

Time and date.

Someone had to of seen this???!

ER HMM SOMEONE NORTH OF HERE IN MERCER COUNTY MIGHT HAVE SEEN THIS.

I grew up in the shadow of Pittsburgh... on the banks of the Ohio River in northern West Virginia.

EVERY astronomical event, in my neck of the woods... it's an omen.

Either the Pens will 3-peat in the next year, or the Steelers will lay claim to the Lombardi trophy for a 7th time.

The Pirates are still screwed.

Lot of cloud cover up here. Not seeing anything. Got bit by a whole lot of skeeters and scared the hell out of by a foraging raccoon though.

10 minutes is too long to be a meteorite/re-entry event, and too short to be a comet sighting. Is that how long you observed the object for?

Damn!
I was hoping you'd see this. Clouds are rolling in now to the north.

Yes i came outside at 11:40 ( passed the microwave with clock )and shortly after i saw this. Ran in to screen grab ISS and time.

Bright and fuzzy. Very few clouds at the time. It was as bright as the ISS.
Just scraping or grazing the atmosphere it seemed.

I can see the moon off to the right looking south, but no stars. Hell, I know my vision is going, maybe it's getting worse.....

I thought I was going blind about 6 months ago. Sitting here at the PC and in both eyes all I could see was big dots of light, my eye muscles went all goofy, and man as much as hate going to a doctor, I got in and here it's an ophthalmic migraine.

Anyhow, thanks for the heads up! Would have been cool to see.

The ISS transit on good sightings is about 5 minutes, only reason I ask about the time frame. Maybe a high altitude spy plane test of some sort?

I saw something very similar (fuzzy glow) in Seattle area a few years ago. It was a slow-mover like what you saw (about 10 minutes before out of site)... I was freaking out.

I never got confirmation what it was, but my best guess after researching a bit was one of those balloons with an LED inside
