What if you house is robbed, and your neighbor, the only person who witnessed it and knows who did, it is afraid to tell the police because their father is here illegally?

I would let the cops know about their father that is breaking the law.....I don't live in a sanctuary city, so they would probably do something about it.

I don't know, but I'm not talking about reporting a crime in progress, I'm talking about being a witness, being interviewed by the police and possibly going to court.

In that case, I know that most crime stoppers organizations do not require identification for information. ID isn't even required for payment of any reward that they offer, if the information leads to an arrest.

In this hypothetical situation, I highly doubt that the family would have enough confidence in you to reveal their father's immigrant status to you.
