Hey guys,

I was at the beach the other day here on Crete Island, Greece and I found this odd thing.

It feels like bone and it is approximately 3-4 cm long, but I don't know what it is and couldn't find anything on google either.

Thank you!

Initial guess would be a small rib bone, maybe from a cat or small dog? (sorry, thats not very exciting!)

Thank you guys. I never thought of a rib bone. Yes not very exciting, but at least I have an idea what it could be

In my opinion, not a bone. It is the outer edge of a bivalve shell.
If you look at the upper end of it in the second photo, you can see the hinge that fastens to the other half of the shell.

I think it is a trom bone. That's a rare find, as troms have been extinct for quite awhile...

Hm, could be, although it's pretty rounded and I don't know how this would fit the description.
