That should be OK.
It shows black people fighting powerfully and only just failing to win the battle.
Isn't there another film about the battle they did win?

The only problem would be that the Zulu mating dance is "blatantly heterosexual" (as a London schoolteacher once described Romeo and Juliet).

Dunkirk. A historical event, where Soldiers (one of many)... got pushed to where their backs are against the sea! Only US. Marines would've died, kicking useless ass on that beach. Which wouldn't have helped in the total war effort. (That's why they're not Soldiers). Marines are only useful, in limited situations, total war ain't one of them. Only Soldiers know when to live to fight another day. To be historical and accurate, some very brave French and Belgian "Soldiers/Warrior's bought/paid for ten minutes here, ten minutes there. History doesn't account for the brave, the "brave" civilian, that for a moment turned into a weapon. Or turned their fishing boat, or yacht, into a service/supply/logistic asset to their nation. Some bad ass stuff, went down at Dunkirk! I highly doubt, them kind of MEN, ..are even still existing.

Rorkes drift was a minor battle, the real battle was not far away. Isandlwana were the Brits got slaughtered. If the mad man Hitler, had not of called a halt then the BEF would have died, or surrendered at Dunkirk. Why the release now? To remind the Europeans of our saving their asses? Have not seen the movie yet and shall watch it when it comes out on vidio/cd or on line.

Sounds like the perfect casting for a Waffen SS Captain.

Its an ok movie but it left me cold as most of Nolan's films do.

It failed to really give the scale of what was going on in a wider sense. In particular all those Brits who were told to stand and fight to the last man in the rear guard (and did so) were totally missed out.

With regard to diversity, It's got women in it doing the job they would have been doing at the time and dying as they did so. It also has some colonial french troops. Complaints against it in those areas are nonsense.

Women are very beautiful people! They've always, "done what has needing doing", when it needed done! (Molly Pitcher)? Why does a "historical movie" need to put people that didn't have any "factual" efforts, into the Dialogue? Dunkirk, is what it is. A military tragedy... That was lived and learned... And well, learned!

How do you figure that in his twitter?

The trio of timelines can be jarring as you figure out how they all fit, and the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way.

Dude, you always seem to miss the point. That, or you get it and try to twist it into something it isn't. This isn't complaining about VALID criticism of the film, it's about morons criticizing it because it's accurate and doesn't bend over backwards trying to appease Black Live Matter or GLAAD.

At some point someone is going to complain that a black transgender doesn't get to play Eleanor Roosevelt.

Yes I am serious. The author of that article apparently have reading comprehension problem. The twitter is not criticizing the movie itself. It's a prediction that it might rub snowflakes the wrong way. No different than critics warning Christians about movies about Jesus.
