The Palestinian protests - triggered by tensions over the placement of metal detectors and turnstiles at a Jerusalem holy site - turned into clashes in which two men were shot dead on Friday.
News of a third death came from the Palestinian health ministry later. The ministry also said at least 400 people had been hospitalized. Rubber bullets and tear gas were used by Israeli police, although the shooting fatalities were caused by live rounds.
Security forces have prohibited Palestinian men under the age of 50 from entering Jerusalem's Old City for Friday Muslim prayers this week, but have allowed access to women of all ages.

There was reportedly debate within the Israeli security establishment over the necessity of the metal detectors, with the military and the Shin Bet security service finding them unnecessary.

This is just over installing METAL DETECTORS. SO the Palis are upset they cant smuggle in weapons anymore without being caught.

First, it's a clear escalation (with the military and the Shin Bet security service finding them unnecessary) and
second, security forces have prohibited Palestinian men under the age of 50 from entering Jerusalem's Old City for Friday Muslim prayers. Which would be another clear escalation, adding insult to injury.

The further developments are quite revealing, in case you have eyes to see.

However, new details from the meeting reveal that in addition to the metal detectors, security cameras set up at the entrance to the Temple Mount will also be removed, effectively returning the site to the state leading up to the terror attack in which two police officers were murdered.

Well they didnt have the restrictions on age UNtil AFTER the detectors were in place. Still they are going to remove them now after they have shown they can and will enforce their rules if they are pushed to do so.
Still we and PLO leaders know this is all a farce with the stupid sheep being used as political pawns.
