What kind of animal is this?

So, I have been feeding the stray cats on my block, but lately I have been getting a new visitor. My cat goes nuts every time he or she comes around. My boss thinks it's a fox, but this animal is the size of a dog. I'm on my laptop so I wasn't able to get a good picture. It comes out around 1am to 2am in the morning. I've never seen the animal during the day. It stayed for more than hour on the porch eating.

I hope it's friendly because he/she looks so adorable. However, I'm not about to find out and pet it.

One night I did, it was weird growling noise, apparently my dog and it came face to face between the fence and it let out a strange growling noise. I went out there with the broom and was like wtf was that. lol My dog wasn't injured, neither was the fox. But I couldn't see anything because it was so dark. I just heard them growling at each other.

In the last 10 years we have had 2 sets of fox with pups in the acres behind the house.

They never got close, maybe a couple hundred yards from us. They are neat but stay far away when we saw them.

What did you take a video of a video for? I sense some trolling or hoaxing.

I have security cameras. When my cat was going crazy I looked at the video and uploaded it. How is that trolling or hoaxing?

no it sounded more sinister and creepy.

Being South African,it looked almost like a hyena at the beginning of the vid. But i'd wager, a fox.

There is a screeching Liberal that attempts to gain access to my shed some nights thinking it's a "safe space", I have often heard it screaming and it does sound like a fox getting f#cked but alas no.. I have seen it with a heavy jacket on and a bit bent over, the first time I thought it was some weird new species but after a short investigation its was just a snowflake with a beard..

Do not rule anything out......

Then why not upload the actual video, and not a video of a video. i seen the cropped play buttons. You are not fooling me. I see what you did here.

It's just that there a lot of hoax videos that record a video of a video to give it a more grainy look to obscure what is really on the video.
