Not letting the children be who they are is child abuse. You're the one who said that we should let children mature and explore dynamics. If the transgender children express themsevles as the opposite sex, allow them.

I don't think its fake at all, and actually have logical common sense behind them. So none of these people exist ? Pffft .. they do , as well as many more who are coerced into covering up how they truly feel by the LGBTQ communities.

Judging the way some are targeted here for speaking their minds I have no doubt those who speak out about regrets are targeted and hated on by their very own. How sad for those with deep regrets .

Let me see if I can explain this. A mental illness is categorized by thoughts or moods that make it difficult to function in day to day life. Examples of mental illnesses are depression, anxiety, bi-polar, schizophrenia, dementia, etc.

Some of these illnesses are just inherent in an individual, like bi-polar disorder or schizophrenia - these are permanent and meds relieve the symptoms, but they must be on meds for life. Some of them are temporary and caused by some other issue. For example, many times depression and anxiety are caused by some other issue in the person's life. They could be caused by issues like a divorce, or being struck by cancer, or some other trauma. The person isn't psychotic, they are just having trouble dealing with the other issue. Oftentimes, giving the person therapy and meds until the issue is resolved will solve the problem. Once the other issue is resolved, meds are usually no longer needed.

Psychosis disorders have similar symptoms and follow similar pathways. People with gender dysphoria don't have the same types of psychotic symptoms. They dont hear voices, they dont have severe mood swings, they don't see things that aren't there. Other than the depression and anxiety they suffer from having the dysphoria, they are perfectly capable of functioning in their jobs and day to day life. They aren't psychotic, they are just having trouble dealing with their other issue.

We don't know exactly what causes gender dysphoria, but new research suggests the issue is neurological and happens during development in utero. In other words, not psychological, but neurological.

What the medical community has found is that no kind of meds or therapy will get rid of the dysphoria. The only treatment that had been successful is to encourage the person to live as the gender their brain tells them they are. By doing that, the other mental health issues like depression and anxiety usually are greatly relieved. Of course, there can be continuing issues in the trans person's life (like being disowned by their friends and family) that can perpetuate the depression and anxiety issues. But if the trans person has the acceptance and support of friends and family, they usually don't need anti-depressants or anti-anxiety meds anymore. In other words, they are cured!

If they are accepted by society and are not discriminated against, they go on to lead normal and productive lives.

I said basically children should be allowed to mature , and with good wise guidance . After some point as adults they have the free will to make their own choice on the matter, and hopefully it is one that is healthy and requires less damage control.

I didn't say it perhaps in those same words , but it was the intent of what I said.

He never suggested that they cannot believe in god. His point is that the articles are based on the Bible. Would you trust articles that are based on Islamic beliefs?

"Reversal surgery" makes it sound so clean and easy. I can't imagine the reversal surgery bringing the patient even close to how they were before after significant mutilation. If they are depressed because of the surgery, I'd think they would remain depressed even after the "reversal" because they are still probably physically very different and/or messed up..
