I was looking online for this movie I remember viewing as a kid and low and behold, the actor who played the kid wasn't the same person I remember. I remember Robbie Benson being that kid in the bubble, and now, google is telling me it was John Travolta??

Am I going mad or have we fallen into another dimension?

It has always been Travolta and what a boring horrible movie it was. However if i recall there was another movie that played close to something but cant recall who the other person was.

Boring or not, I still remember vividly along with those I grew up with as the lead in this movie being Robbie Benson.

They have pause, erase,stop, fold time lines and play but not rewind Cern is working on that one if you go back and stop Jesus birth that would be a game changer wouldn't it?

We're glad you're here in this universe, haha. If you look at pictures from their teen idol days, Tavolta and Benson both have a similar dark haired, blue eyed look.

It makes me wonder if that kid from 2010 who created the time machine knew more than we're aware of now. You know his name, Gentill Abdulla.

A winner in your Universe or Mine?

It was Travolta all the way. I remember it being sandwiched between Welcome Back Kotter and Saturday Night Fever in terms of chronology. The degree of vividness of memories are only in the minds of the beholder; alone, they don't make the events any more real.

Everyone from the 60's -70's I've talked to remember Robbie Benson being the guy in the bubble. I remember Kotter and SNL well. I know the difference between Benson and Travolta, and Travolta was NOT the BITB.

I think the confusion may arise in the similarities of the actors--Robbie Benson was sort of "John Travolta lite".

Edit--as a test, I just asked my wife who was the star of "Bubble". She immediately said John Travolta. I then told her about this thread, and she admitted that she almost said Robbie Benson. Just similar actors, that's all.
