I believe that emotional response is useful, as long as it remains under control, and is only accentuated or allowed its head, when such a thing is necessary. I believe that emotion should inform ones intent, but that logic should inform ones performance of ones intent. For example, if emotion demands that a humanitarian crisis be solved, logic should dictate the method by which a solution is found, because otherwise the solution will prove every bit as chaotic and unhelpful as the instigating problem, as has been the case on many, many occasions throughout history.
