Peter W. Smith, GOP operative who sought Clinton's emails from Russian hackers, committed suicide, records show

New developments in the case of Peter W. Smith, the GOP operative who sought Clinton's emails from Russian hackers. New details reveal he committed suicide. This may be more fodder for conspiracy theorists:

According to the Chicago Tribune:

A Republican donor and operative from Chicago's North Shore who said he had tried to obtain Hillary Clinton's missing emails from Russian hackers killed himself in a Minnesota hotel room days after talking to The Wall Street Journal about his efforts, public records show.

In a room at a Rochester hotel used almost exclusively by Mayo Clinic patients and relatives, Peter W. Smith, 81, left a carefully prepared file of documents, which includes a statement police called a suicide note in which he said he was in ill health and a life insurance policy was expiring.

The method of suicide?

He was found with a bag over his head with a source of helium attached.

His suicide note is, of course, interesting.

In the note recovered by police, Smith apologized to authorities and said that "NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER" was involved in his death. He wrote that he was taking his own life because of a "RECENT BAD TURN IN HEALTH SINCE JANUARY, 2017" and timing related "TO LIFE INSURANCE OF $5 MILLION EXPIRING."

Sounds like the Trump death machine has claimed it's first victim. Stay tuned, more to come.

Does life insurance cover suicides as well? Seems weird to point that out in a suicide letter. The no foul play whatsoever line is also very weird. Why should people care about his reason to kill himself? Holy # this stinks to high heaven.

What? This has nothing to do with Trump. Btw there were never any russian hackers so who the hell did he ask for the emails? Sounds like a setup and he fell for it or the emails are still out there and they got intercepted and silenced. Hmm i'm curious if some unknown person ended up the same way at the exact same day.

Did he commit suicide with a sniper rifle shot at 300 yards to the back?

This makes no sense. Why would the russians hacker agree to a meeting and just hand the emails over when they could publish them at any given moment or sell them on the black market? Btw they didn't even asked for anything in return. This is next level stupidity.

I just had this thought. What if they are not killing them what we think. But the information they dig up is so horrendous, so disturbingly inhuman that the very knowing of it makes you not want to exist. The truth has that power. Just a thought.

This is getting very coincidental.

I thought about it alot since i delved deeper into the rabbit hole. At this point nothing would truly surprise me anymore. I also stated a few times that the emails could've contained blackmail material for alot of important people. It's definitely worth killing for.

Russia had nothing to do with this or the DNC hack. The Ukraine on the other hand...

I read alot of articles and try to keep up to date most of the time. I avoid the obvious fake news sites though. More importantly i draw my own conclusions from all the information i encounter. I don't need CNN or Fox News to tell me what to think. It also helps that i'm wired differently than most people. My predictions about Comey and Lynch for instance were spot on. Though it appears Comey struck a immunity deal to avoid any criminal charges. Basically i'm always right.

Yes.

Amazed we are not storming every building with the name Clinton on it and burning them all down.

I really hope the entire clan gets a terminal disease.

So "The Russians", oooh, killed everyone else who investigated the Clintons and died mysteriously?

Wow.

That sounds wrong.
