Video of UFO While Filming the Moon — Joshua Tree National Park

I live in a UFO hotspot.


My last post was from a roadtrip to Joshua Tree National Park in April 2011, showing a triangle object taking off from in front of a tree.

(I’ll be following up on that specific “triangle” capture with more information, comments and visuals soon. It was no bug, bird, nor drone. It showed up 3 times instead of one. And, at one point it hovered in the air changing shape. More on that later.)


I mention April 2011 because I recently discovered a few “completely different” object captures from that same trip. Here, is one of them!


I occasionally put together roadtrip videos, so I have a tendency to videotape “B-roll” shots for possible future use. On this day, the view of the rising moon was incredible, so I set up a tripod to record it slowly rising. (A tripod...thank God!)


Three days ago, over six years after that trip, I finally located this clip of film.


Upon viewing, I noticed an object slowly entering from the bottom of the screen. It exhibits the typical flight pattern people normally observe with UFOs…abruptly changing direction twice, and accelerating out of the shot.


This was a very simple, basic shot. This is not a freakin’ “bug”, balloon, drone, or any kind of cgi. Just an odd object changing direction in the shot.

If you watch the slowed down zoomed in part, you can see the wings flapping.

Looks like a bird to me. The resolution is the size of a pixel, so you will get a "dot" regardless of the original shape. In addition, it exhibits the normal flight characteristics of a bird. As it is alone in the sky, some form of raptor or vulture is likely the culprit.

That is my opinion of what you have recorded.

As far as wildlife photographers go, I wouldn't be waiting for NatGeo to call if I were you.

Not just any smurfin fish. That is a shapeshifting flying mermaid! The tailfin is clearly visible, useful for flight stability. And my God I haven't witnessed arms flapping like that since I convinced my 2 year old she could fly if she just flapped enough.

And all these people see is a bird. Sheesh. Oh and a ufo in the case of our op. How utterly unimaginative. I'm sure the mod reward points will be in my inbox any second now...

I live in joshua tree to been to the National Park many times, it looks like a bird to me as well..
