"It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting. I interrupted and advised her that my father was not an elected official, but rather a private citizen, and that her comments and concerns were better addressed if and when he held public office.

So DT Jr. just admitted to wanting to collude with the Russian government against Hillary Clinton. Also, I wouldn't hang your coat on the "DT Jr. was deceived by this meeting" narrative. That just makes him look stupid on top of admitting to criminal election fraud. Though if you ask me, he looks stupid for several reasons here.

"Collude with the Russian government" lol...funny.
"Criminal election fraud".. hahahahahah!

"i have some information useful to the campaign"
"ok, what is it?"
"ok, thanks, we're not interested".

COLLUSION!!!! OMG.

You have a source for this or is this just your own legal opinion?

No, Kerry was. The act was signed into law in Dec 2012.
Nice try at deflecting though.

Sigh. It was a rhetorical question. But, there you go again, displaying your difficult relationship with truth.

The Magnitsky Act, formally known as the Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012, is a bipartisan bill passed by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Obama in November–December 2012, intending to punish Russian officials responsible for the death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky in a Moscow prison in 2009.
en.wikipedia.org...

Hillary Clinton served as the 67th United States Secretary of State, under President Barack Obama, from 2009 to 2013, overseeing the department that conducted the Foreign policy of Barack Obama.
en.wikipedia.org...:_2012

Clinton was all up in that political affair! If Clinton and Obama orchestrated the Magnitsky Act, you can best believe that Trump would be okay with destroying it!

Either Trump and Co are a lot smarter than everyone gives them credit for, or they're what they appear to be.

Trump and Co. seem to be extremely blackmail-able by Russian Kleptocrat in chief due to Trump's history of money laundering for the Russian Mob. The deal offered to Trump for Putin's silence is the lifting of all U.S. sanctions against Russia.

Here’s A Closer Look At Donald Trump’s Disturbingly Deep Ties To Russia

The Bayrock Group’s Felix Sater emerges again during the Trump campaign and presidency. Sater contributed the maximum $5,400 to Donald Trump’s campaign. Then on February 19, 2017, the New York Times reported that “A week before Trump fired Michael Flynn resigned as national security advisor, a sealed proposal was hand-delivered to his office, outlining a way for President Trump to lift sanctions against Russia.”

The Times said that three men were responsible for developing and delivering the plan: Andrew Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer, and Andrii V. Artemenko, a pro-Russian member of the Ukrainian parliament.

The third man was none other than Trump’s former business partner and convicted fraudster, Felix Sater. How and why Sater became involved with a key member of the Trump administration in the most sensitive of diplomatic transactions between the United States and Russia remains one of the many mysteries to be resolved by congressional and FBI investigators.

It was signed into law Dec 2012 and she left office in Feb 2013.

Your point?

Clinton / Obama have demonstrated time and again laws dont apply to them, but everyone else.

Trump jr. released the entire email chains which show the Democrat operative setting the meeting up and telling Trump they had damaging info on Clinton. Trump took it as opposition research, which everyone engages in. The operative misled Trump jr. and the Russian lawyer he met with had nothing that was discussed in the email chains.

It was exactly what people are calling it - a setup by the left to damage Trump and his campaign.

Like the other bs stunts from he left this one also blew up in their faces, implicating Fusiongps, Democrats and the Clinton campaign.

Lawyer wasn't a Russian official or member of Russian govt or dispatched by the govt.

Also wasn't Trump.

So much fake news.

I am curious why the media / left is complaining about Trumps campaign "trying to get" damaging info on Clinton yet they remain completely quiet about the Russia dossier the left paid to get.

Is it another one of those infamous double standards, where is ok for Democrats to do but if Republicans do it it is the end of the world and a threat to our Republic.

My point is.......Why would this woman, who is die hard lobbyist for repealing the sanctions imposed due to the Magnistky Act, who by the way is on the list of Russian individuals sanctioned by the Act, go to bat for HRC, who helped orchestrate the Act, against Donald Trump, her "friend".

SOURCE

ANOTHER SOURCE

It doesn't make any sense.

If it was a set up - and there is no evidence it was - then she may not have been involved. She could have been played too.
I'd be looking more at the founder of Fusion GPS, who were working on digging up dirt on Trump at the time, and the British fruitcake who brokered the meeting.

Clinton.. You mean the same person who says its ok to have a public position and a private position, contradicting, on the same topic? The same clinton that colluded with Russia and sold them 20% of US Uranium? The same Clinton who employed Podesta, a guy who owned part of a russian company and instead of disclosing that transferred his shares to his family member?

It was a setup by the left that once again blew p in their faces.

Well, that British Fruitcake is still alive and well! LOL.......He was hired to represent Emin by his father, Aras Agalarov, a close friend of Putin's. So, there's that.

No......I mean no such thing. I mean...Clinton helped orchestrated the very ACT that Natalia V professionally lobbied against. The theory that this meeting was a trap set up by the Democrats doesn't wash! That dog don't hunt!

Friend of a friend of a friend... pretty weak. When you have to pull that kind of link, you're reaching.
A closer link is the founder of Fusion GPS actually in the middle of opposition research for the Hillary Campaign being an associate of the woman in the actual meeting.

It's not weak at all, especially since DT Jr's emails say that it was Aras himself, a close friend of Putin, who set up the meeting in the first place, and sent Valerie Vaelnitskaya.

So why would one of Trump's friends getting in touch saying he has information on Hillary Clinton that will be useful be a problem? You're still not making any case.

Moreover - if Trump is such good friends with these people, why are they getting in touch via another friend of the Trumps? Kind of suggests that Trump Jr doesn't really know these people that well.... back to a friend of a friend of a friend.

What? Are you denying that's what happened. That's exactly what happened, according to DT Jr's emails release.

Moreover - if Trump is such good friends with these people, why are they getting in touch via another friend of the Trumps?

To ensure plausible deniability. That's corruption 101!

Even Gold stone that he would've gone straight to Trump, through Rhona, but it is "highly sensitive information".

Ah, so your theory is that wrote a bunch of emails discussing it openly to make sure there was plausible deniability. Hmmm.

He never did go to Trump. He knows Trump is a fox. Trump had fired Paul Manafort by then. He would have been exposed as a spy if he did go to Trump.

I didn't say these people were very bright, but Goldstone said it in the email the DT Jr release. I would go to your Dad, through Rhona, but this is "highly sensitive" stuff (paraphrased)

Wink wink.......
