"It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting. I interrupted and advised her that my father was not an elected official, but rather a private citizen, and that her comments and concerns were better addressed if and when he held public office.
So DT Jr. just admitted to wanting to collude with the Russian government against Hillary Clinton. Also, I wouldn't hang your coat on the "DT Jr. was deceived by this meeting" narrative. That just makes him look stupid on top of admitting to criminal election fraud. Though if you ask me, he looks stupid for several reasons here.
No, Kerry was. The act was signed into law in Dec 2012.
Nice try at deflecting though.
The Magnitsky Act, formally known as the Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012, is a bipartisan bill passed by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Obama in November–December 2012, intending to punish Russian officials responsible for the death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky in a Moscow prison in 2009.

Either Trump and Co are a lot smarter than everyone gives them credit for, or they're what they appear to be.
The Bayrock Group’s Felix Sater emerges again during the Trump campaign and presidency. Sater contributed the maximum $5,400 to Donald Trump’s campaign. Then on February 19, 2017, the New York Times reported that “A week before Trump fired Michael Flynn resigned as national security advisor, a sealed proposal was hand-delivered to his office, outlining a way for President Trump to lift sanctions against Russia.”
The Times said that three men were responsible for developing and delivering the plan: Andrew Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer, and Andrii V. Artemenko, a pro-Russian member of the Ukrainian parliament.
The third man was none other than Trump’s former business partner and convicted fraudster, Felix Sater. How and why Sater became involved with a key member of the Trump administration in the most sensitive of diplomatic transactions between the United States and Russia remains one of the many mysteries to be resolved by congressional and FBI investigators.

Lawyer wasn't a Russian official or member of Russian govt or dispatched by the govt.
Also wasn't Trump.
So much fake news.

It was signed into law Dec 2012 and she left office in Feb 2013.
Your point?
Clinton / Obama have demonstrated time and again laws dont apply to them, but everyone else.
I'd be looking more at the founder of Fusion GPS, who were working on digging up dirt on Trump at the time, and the British fruitcake who brokered the meeting.

Clinton.. You mean the same person who says its ok to have a public position and a private position, contradicting, on the same topic? The same clinton that colluded with Russia and sold them 20% of US Uranium? The same Clinton who employed Podesta, a guy who owned part of a russian company and instead of disclosing that transferred his shares to his family member?
It was a setup by the left that once again blew p in their faces.

Well, that British Fruitcake is still alive and well! LOL.......He was hired to represent Emin by his father, Aras Agalarov, a close friend of Putin's. So, there's that.
So why would one of Trump's friends getting in touch saying he has information on Hillary Clinton that will be useful be a problem?
Moreover - if Trump is such good friends with these people, why are they getting in touch via another friend of the Trumps?

What? Are you denying that's what happened. That's exactly what happened, according to DT Jr's emails release.
Moreover - if Trump is such good friends with these people, why are they getting in touch via another friend of the Trumps?
To ensure plausible deniability. That's corruption 101!
Even Gold stone that he would've gone straight to Trump, through Rhona, but it is "highly sensitive information".
