This is what I mean by black and white.

I'm not trying to suppress the happiness of a child. I'm all for allowing the child be who they truly are.

This is about the unnecessary "awareness"

So you are upset about something that you have no knowledge of?

How do we know it's really dysphoria? That's why I said leave them alone and let them figure it out on their own.

It doesn't matter if it's really dysphoria. The point is explaining about it when they have a transgender child in a class.
Maybe I'll offer a compromise. If there is a transgender child in a kindergarten then parents and teachers can have a PTA meeting and they can teach the parents all about it and the parents will explain to their children on their own, giving them the power, not the teachers.

Like children with peanut allergies, you may or may not have one in class, but if you do, it must be noted, even if not, you can still teach your child about peanut allergies.

I take that back, i dont even think it must be noted. Let the girl be a girl and a boy be a boy. If noted, some bigot parent will tell their child not be befriend that child and turn them into a bully.

That wasn't a generalization. That's why I said it's extreme. It's a fact that some parents are bigots and they teach that to their children.

Yes... I' ve seen the same bigotry in parents from the LGBTQ communities.

They want to teach my children their ways are the only correct ways and indoctrinate them into their agendas.

Seems bigotry works both ways!

Honestly, this debate has reached a point where everyone is just going in circles. What else is there to say? I've said all I could, as rationally as I can, as honest as I can.. there really isn't much left to say.

You lot have clearly made up your minds and there's nothing that will change it.

I'm honestly burnt out with this.. 40 pages with pretty much me by myself trying to explain my point of view to people that refuse to even entertain the idea.

What's the point? I'm just wasting my time right now.

Really? You forgot about the previous 40 pages? It's hardly being upset at something I have no knowledge of.

Anyways I think I'm officially done here.

I don't doubt there are bigots in the LGBT community.
I've yet to see them indoctrinating your children. If you perceive that as your reality then send them to private school.

Gays do not want to teach your children that their way of living is the only way...that does not happen and pointing out bigotry is not bigotry.

The only people that want to push beliefs and teach that their way is the only way are very religious nutjobs.

I just think it's funny that you are outraged and you don't even know what 5year olds are being told. For all we know, all they are telling them is that sometimes boys might like to play with dolls and girls might like to play with trucks and that's okay. You yourself played with dolls, so I would think you would be perfectly okay with that message.

They have dysorphia bc in their last life they were that gender. You have to first understand reincarnation to fully wrap your head around it.

You have like zero credibility with all but the craziest people after having stated that.

I hope people like you are not able to influence public policy, you are mentally ill.

I've been reading through this lengthy thread and I would just like to say that I like how respectfully you've disagreed with people's opinions, while not dismissing them as incorrect or anything like that. That's how you have a proper discussion.
The people who choose to not be open to hear why people's opinions are the opposite of their's and ignore facts and/or some logic don't really know how to go about having a proper discussion.

While I support LGBT folk and am one of them, kids really should be allowed to be kids without their minds being strongly influenced by things such as different gender identities and sexualities. These things, however, shouldn't be introduced to them in a negative manner but more in a neutral way so as to not influence them into thinking them or other people being something other than straight or male and female is a horrible thing.

I fully understand your premise. I hope you understand mine. Which is why we have been trying to get you to understand our point of view. Maybe you're right about the debate. The debate has reached to that point. I guess all we can do is agree to disagree.

So it's funny to you now?

Why do I need to know what they are being told when I can see the repercussions unfolding before my eyes? Do I need to to know what was exactly said to recognize a group that's being oppressed? A group that's being targeted? A group that's a focus of hate? Nope, the proof is in the pudding.

Peace out Kayla, like I said earlier, I've said all I could. There's nothing left for me to say.

I alone count for 8 pages of comments.

Thanks for the words. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a lot of frustration behind my words, sometimes it leaks out, but I do try. I can't help that I am passionate about the things I engage in.

Excuse me, a conservative media source? Lol...

I don't even watch the news or TV. Or surf the net reading blogs or whatever you're referring to.

Bye Kayla.
