happy with about a third

Im at 20% but that will get better i hope . At 600 i am at the end of the runway using a tripod and to be honest there is not a lot of activity usually . According to a plane spotting website here it might be best if i have ID on me as well as the MPs apparently are right on it .

If they're anything like here, they'll be all over you in the wrong area, but totally ignore you in another. At Nellis, if you're on the right side of the road, they'll be there in about five minutes. On the left side of the road, they totally ignore you and you can shoot what you want.

Will you be around taking pics of the red flag exercises?

Not this year. I'm heading up to Washington for the Fairchild airshow and to hit Moses Lake to try to catch some stuff that's up there.

They're about to restore the B-52 that's there and move it down to the Museum of Flight in Seattle for a new park. The Everett tour is a blast too.

From what I've read it does sound really good it's added to the list of places to visit. But having just bought a house and new car in the past year it'll have to wait.

We're approaching the time to settle down, but I've got plenty of aviation related stuff around our place to keep me occupied.

I'd be impressed with that mate plus they're moving at a fair speed.

Not tempted to get an RV and camp out at the end of runways?

I'm the same way. I'll get pics that look fine, but when I zoom in they're a little blurry so I'll ignore those.

I'm within 6 hours of 7 locations if you add civil airports and storage yards.

That's alright then!! Just found out they have a B52 on display at Duxford would love to know how they got it there. Psyched to see that as well as blackbird the U2 and Tsr2. Turns out the B52 flew in didn't think it would have enough space to land tbh.

That drag chute works REALLY well. Really, really well. We'd be sitting down at the high speed turnoff at the far end of the runway, and every time they'd pop the damn thing they'd have to taxi about half the runway to get to us and drop it.

Two civilian storage and salvage airports and two military bases are an hour away, with a third base around 4 hours away.

It's all US units at 17-3. The Lakenheath Mud Hens are there, and more F-35s. Should be a good one.

That's cool hopefully I see the F16s during transit I assume they follow a tanker over the Atlantic? Can civilians do a tour of Davis Monthan around the grave yard or is it off limits?
