Why do all the new people want to change forums to suit them?I thought that is why there was a million websites this site has been in existance for a long time,with able thinking moderators,I think opinions are best kept to themselves

Well seeing as how it wasn't that long ago that Sceptic Overlord was warning us that the site might have to shut down due to high costs, I think the answer is pretty plain.

Here's the thing: It's not ATS's political problem, it's your political problem. Now, obviously, I cannot speak for the owners of ATS, but I do know they have the power to do whatever they want to do... including limiting or even eliminating political threads. They haven't. Nor have they come on here to cry and whine about it. So it's not ATS's problem, it's your problem.

And for what it's worth, if the other-than-politics threads aren't getting much attention now, it's because folks aren't interested, and that won't change just because political threads are taken away. If that's what folks wanted, they would find them or create them or engage in them with or without political threads.

If you type the word Obama into the search function you will see hundreds of political threads going all the way back to when I joined in 2007.
